I have two of these and have used them for a few years now for my hummingbird feeders. I did clean the window with alcohol and then added a little water on the suction cups before pressing them against the window and this creates a good suction. I wait a little bit before initially hanging the full hummingbird feeder to allow the moisture to evaporate and create a good suction. They stay on all summer. I also hang them opposite what the photo show for the product that way the hummingbird feeder doesn't slide off during winds.
Very impressed. I was skeptical at first if it would stick and it's done a good job. TIP: Make sure you clean your window and use alcohol on the suction cups to ensure it stays on. It survived a storm with 30mph winds the other day. Also make sure your feeder isn't to heavy. 5 pounds is the max. I would buy this product again!

Feeder was easy to fill and stuck to the window with no issues. We noticed hummingbirds eating from it a few hours after hanging it. Very happy with the purchase.
This does hold up to 5 pounds, I've actually been brave enough to test it. I've only had it during the summer months, and throughout tornado weather it has stuck on perfectly. However, if you live anywhere near woods I'd like to offer you some advice... BRING IN THE FEEDER BEFORE NIGHT TIME. We had a deer that was jumping on our glass window, eating our seed. It was loud and in the middle of the night I literally thought someone was breaking into our home. The deers hooves were hitting the glass! Thank god the window didn't break. But I guess even with a hungry deer pulling down on my feeder, this window hook stood up to the challenge.
With 2 suctions hooks it holds my hummingbird feeder up very nicely. It is well made. I believe I paid more than the $2.18 is states, though. Once the hummingbirds leave, I will contue to use to hold up a thistle feeder for the finches.
Love these. Put them up on a clean window and hold in place for one minute with pressure. Make sure it holds for two minutes. Then put on a lightweight feeder. Make sure it holds in place for three minutes. Be prepared to reposition feeder as necessary. You have to let it pressure set on the window first. I also use it upside down from the picture. I have two.
This would work if you had a really small bird feeder. The suction cups won't hold much weight. Mine was a medium bird feeder and it stayed up for a few minutes then fell to the ground spreading bird seeds everywhere. At least it didn't break the feeder though.
We tried hanging a lightweight plastic bird feeder that was a lot less than 5 lbs when filled with food. The suction cups just would not stay on the glass even before any birds visited it. Oh well, it was a nice thought.
Terrible item. I purchased this today so I could see my new beautiful blown glass hummingbird feeder. Within an hour of hanging it, I heard a crash and found my new feeder shattered. I'm devastated. Don't trust it and don't waste your money! I think this company should give me my money back, replace my feeder, and reimburse me for the wasted hummingbird food too!
