One of only two kibbles my daughter will eat, and when it's in stock, always order 6 minimum so I'm not stressed about running out.
As soon as I knew I was getting a cat, I did a lot of research on feeding her properly, and this was the brand I felt combined both quality and price point. Sure, there were a few higher quality foods, but they were much more expensive than this one. I started her on it when she turned a year old, and have never looked back. She likes, I like it - win, win, win.
Have been feeding my cat Pure Balance Chicken and Brown Rice kibble since she was 10 weeks old, almost 2 years now. She love it and it alone. Thanks Walmart for making a high quality safe catfood, it's kept my kitty healthy and happy.
Great cat food! I like that it is all-natural without fillers and for a good while even the prescription cat food I was feeding my boy, made him very ill with vomiting and diarrhea. The change to the food was a quick relief and he seems to gobble it up so quickly and contently. Happy with the switch.
Its not better than homemade but my kitty only likes this store bought dry food. Wont hardly even eat wet store bought of any kind. I have no idea why.
I bought online once, now they wont ship the kind my cat eats! I put him on this 3 years ago after him suffering from seizures ! No grain saved his life !! Hope they never get rid of it!! Too bad only Walmart sells it !!
My Kitties have been on this for 6 months and LOVE it! I'm hoping that by changing out the dry food to grain-free it will eliminate further health issues that have plague past Furbabies. Keeping my fingers crossed....
I like almost everything about it; however, my kitties say "it junk." Aparently they don't like something in it. I think it's the rice. Either way, they threw it all over the floor instead of eating it. Our female tries to hide it. I had mixed it with their Pureina naturals indoor formula I usually buy for them and she ate all the Natuals and wouldn't touch the rest. Our male wouldn't eat after the Naturals were gone. I ended up trying a new food and I'm still mixing it with a little of this food they still have left. I think I'm going to stick with Pureina brand for my kitties, but this looks like a great, healthy food for cats(probably why my kitties don't like it. lol)
my 3 cats almost went into starvation mode, because they did not like this food. it is super dry and very small pieces
My cats will not eat this Walmart brand, Pure Balance. Everything looks good on the label but they just look at it, smell and walk away. They love Wholesome Essentials, curious that we can only get wholesome essentials home delivered after Walmart released their store brand. In fact several brands of dry cat food disappeared and suddenly there are 5 star ratings on pure Balance? Not saying it is bad for the cat, just that the cats we have don't care for it. Interesting marketing? You decide. *Pure Balance is a made specifically for the Walmart company by Ainsworth Pet Nutrition. The base is in Meadville, Pennsylvania. They might be a little more well known for producing Rachel Ray Nutrish cat food. *
