I like how the filter works and everything about it! What you need to know is: Read the instructions carefully and make sure you fill your fish tank with water, then fill the filter with water before you turn it on. Other than that, you should be good to go!
It's a powerful unit, but fortunately, it has a nice flow control feature. My only criticism, a mild one, is that it's very long for my 33-gallon tank (I had to remove most of the clear plastic piece on the rear of the hood that helps prevent evaporation to fit it onto the tank). With two filters, it's keeping my tank nice and clean so far in spite of my messy pleco and good-sized gouramis.
It works perfectly for my 55 gallon, one of my favorite tipe of filters.
I use this for an 8' oval stock tank “pool” and it works like a charm!! Someone on Facebook recommended it for that purpose and it works great!
I had a smaller filter which wasn't doing the job even though it was the right size for the tank ( I have a 10 gallon with 4 fish). This one is awesome. Water is crystal clear. My only complaint is that it is not all that quiet.
It works great ig. The name is completely misleading, tho. Its SUPER loud ugh. I have it in my room, you can hear it in the livingroom with the door shut. So. Loud. But hey, at least it wont electrocute my fish like my last filter ð
Will not fit in my aquarium
Seems like an OK product, the reason for the rating is because the instruction manual is a bit confusing especially for a beginner. It would be great if the instructions were more detailed.
I bought one from the store and the motor didn't start so I went back to the store and exchanged it and it's still not working and I'm here to learn maybe I'm missing something before I start the filter
When filter was first received it was great. Tank cleared up in 24 hr. 2 days later it was cloudy and blowing out. filters checked clogged called customer service as to what the issue might be and was told to buy new filters the one the comes with the pump is too big??
