This is an excellent heater, great price and outstanding quality. It arrived before the stated date, and I am very happy with my purchase. I can highly recommend this item.
during the short time I've been with this heater it works fine
My Betta has never been happier since getting this heater! Someone said that the directions were not proper and that the heater needs to be acclimated to the water? That's not true. Think about it: It's not in the instructions because it's not necessary!! Just put the heater in the tank wherever you want it, plug it in, and it works. It keeps the water perfectly warm for my Betta.
Just got this for my 5 gal tank. My betta swims more when the water temp is 80 degrees verses 78. I know this sounds crazy but it's true. So far no problems with this heater but I was wondering if it is accurate or does it fluctuate a few degrees less than it says? My stick on thermometer reads 78 but the water just feels a little cooler Anyone else know if this is an exact temperature ?
It keeps the tank at 78 degrees plus or minus 2 degrees, doesn't take up much space, little red light says its heating, suction cup works nicely, unplugged now it's summer though
The heater that I had in my aquarium stopped working so I had to get a new heater fast. (My fish are not happy if the water is anywhere below 76°, and the water had dropped to 68° being room temperature.) I quickly read upon reviews on heaters and found this one and decided to give it a try. There are no adjustments, you just suction it to the inside and plug it in, thats it! The manual stated that it can take up to 24 hours to reach the maintained temperature but it took about an hour for mine to gradually get up to 78° without causing any type of shock to the fish due to the sudden change in temperature. It hasnt even been 24 hours yet but so far I give this heater 5 stars due to the price and quality of the product.
I get this heater for my 5 and a half gallon aquarium. It fit in perfectly , it was hardly noticeable. The only issue I had was, when I changed the water the thermostat wouldn't reset itself and start working again for quite some time. The last time I changed the water, it never started back again so I had to go buy a new one. The new one is working fine so far.
This is a nice little heater that works well for a small aquarium or a betta bowl. You don't have to set the temprature on this heater it is preset at 78 degrees which is the right temp for most tropical fish. It can be mounted horizontaly or verticaly with suction cups. The unit works well and does a good job keeping the tank heated. It is also small and can be hidden.
Docked a star because it only keeps it about 76-77 degrees and moy between 78 and 80. But, that being said, my betta is happy. He swims around and likes sleeping on the suction cup behind the heater. I have it in a 3.5 gallon top fin aquarium and it does the kob. I have a happy betta and I'm a happy owner.
I bought this heater for my 2 gallon tank. It's supposed to keep the tank at 78 degrees but the tank has stayed at a pretty constant 76. This heater is recommended for tanks 2 through, I believe, 15 gallons so I'm surprised it isn't keeping the right temperature on such a small tank. The onlly thing I can think of is the thermometer I'm using is one that is placed on the outside of the tank so perhaps it just isn't giving an accurate reading.
