This tank is awesome and really great! There is one problem though,>÷=_= We could not figure out how to work the filter there were no instructions just cautions on what not to do after a while though we figured it out! But just for future reference you guys should really add instructions on how to put the filter together! Love this tank so does my betta fish! (his name is billy)
Switched my betta dimpsey into this and he loved it he's very active and extremely happy!! i definitely think people should buy this for their fish!
I haven't had a fish tank since I was a kid maybe 55 years ago and that was a fish bowl. I now have a cat and wanted something to keep her busy and this is it! She'll watch it for hours. With the gravel and the water it's heavy enough so she can't push it off. She doesn't like water too much so she won't be trying to get in there. Like everyone else said the instructions are not good. It doesn't tell you which way to put the filer in and I had a hard time with the plastic cover for the filter but I kept looking at the picture on the box and I figured it out. I had put the filter in backwards and the box shows a picture of the filter in the plastic thing. Now it works great! Someone I know has had fish for years and told me to put the water in and let the filter run for a few days before putting the fish in it. If I can do this, anyone can!
The light and filter are wired together. I fixed this by cutting the wire to the filter and putting electrical tape over it since it's outside of the tank. The light still works fine, 2 years later. I added a sponge filter and an air pump. I had it stocked with about 10 cherry shrimp which got moved to a larger tank. Currently my betta lives in the tank and it's planted with java moss, anubias, and a small crypt still. I have a small CFL light above with a desk lamp fixture to supplement the LED's. This is a great tank that's easy to take care of and display without taking up much room and is also very affordable.
Nice looking tank. Bought 2 lees than 1 month one pump burnt out 1 LED brighter than the other.
I bought two bettas, so bought two tanks. Love the size, but I don't have a clue how to put the filter together and in the tank. Sounds crazy, but it said comes with instructions. A picture that is impossible to duplicate, so I use them without the filters. :( But my fish love the swimming room in the tank :)
This was not glass, it was plastic. My time is limited lately and I rely heavily on item descriptions, with that being said it was a huge waste of time. No stars if i could.
It sucked my goldfish onto the filter and killed him. He had a large black infection around the area that the filter destroyed.
came with a crack in it have to return
