While I have been a fan of "Dawn" for many years, I never thought I would be bothered to write to praise a particular product. That being said, the notation on the lable stating that the user gets the power of an overnight soak in five minutes is completely TRUE; much to my surprise. As a long time hobby chef, I know how arduous clean-up can be. Unfortunately, at times, due to having guests and such some cleaning waits. I have had such an occaision recently and the clean-up waited until the following afternoon. In case you didn't grasp the the notion, that means residue was caked on and dried and in general looking just short of hopeless. Now, comes the "Power Clean" sucess story. In just over five minutes of soaking, not only did I not have to scrub my pans, just lifting them from the water cleared nearly all residue and a light washcloth application finished the job. Unless you discontinue this great product, I will never buy anything else. I am so impressed I don't truly know how to express my full confidence in this product. PLEASE, PLEASE do not discontinue this particular detergent.
i have been watching what i eat and this is the use of a lot of olive oil and it just does not come off completely hand washing my plastic.Saw a commercial for new DAWN PLATINUM tried it LOVED IT use a little and let the dishes soak and they come clean the first time.
This review is really for the Dawn Power Dissolver. What a great product. I just happened to pick some up when I was at a Walmart and since then every time I use it for those hard to clean pots and pans I think I should write and say how great this product is. I usually HATE to clean up lasagna pans, pans used for baking chiken and other "soakers" and now no problem. I don't have to soak the silly pans for a day or two -no more kitchen sink clutter. THANK YOU!!!
Love this product but have difficulty handling the bottle...am I the only one having this problem? I won't stop using it because it is such a good product, but find the bottle difficult to handle...not so with your other products. Have used Dawn for years.
I love, love, love Dawn, but this new packaging design is the worst. It is hard to grip, difficult to open, and it is slippery all the time because of the poor design. I, luckily, salvaged the previous designed bottle and transferred the new liquid to it and threw out the new designed bottle. I will still buy only Dawn, but I am going to keep transferring the liquid to the old packagine.
Yeah, Dawn is great for those tough laundry stains even after the stain has been dried! I had washed, twice, a nice cotton t-shirt with children's red cough syrup all over it and it was not coming out. So I gave up and dried it. Then I though about my Dawn. I didn't have anything to loose but a damaged t-shirt. So, I pre-treated and put into the regular white laundry and OOH La La La the stain came out!! So, new moms listen up and keep a bottle of Dawn in your laundry room cause it works better than most stain removers and costs less!
I have used Dawn for many years and not just for dishes. Found your new "Power Clean" line and bought a bottle. Did my dishes as I always do... fixed my coffee and had to pour it out... perfume taste from dish soap still on cup... rinsed everything again and still the taste... finally got out the vinegar to rinse in... went and bought the old Dawn and now everything is back to normal. Please consider backing off the scent... then this will be a quality and useful product.
I have used this product for as long as I can remember but the new cap and shape are terrible. The cap is messy and hard to open. So the soap runs down the bottle and then is slippery. The new shape of the bottle makes it hard to hold on to. Please go back to the old cap and bottle!! I love dawn but will have to change. Too messy now. Thank you!
I am always happy to use DAWN, but why did P&G change the cap? This is too much plastic, and I accidentally left it open,,, and it seaped all over my lower cabinet floor!!! This cap is just too stiff and too much!! Go back to the pop up top please.......
The product is and always has been the best. The new bottle shape is AWFUL. Because the grip is at the top, it is too small. This makes the bottle bottom heavy and too hard to handle for those of us with arthritic hands. If you can't maneuver the bottle, you can't use the contents..
