Good stuff! The green cap and the yellow cap Cascade dishwasher detergents, both lemon-scented I think, work really great. I will also mention that with all of the other types of Cascade, with other colors of caps (the ones that are NOT lemon-scented), my dishes often (or maybe usually) smelled bad, after they have been washed! It took me quite a long time to figure out what was causing it, and "your mileage may vary", but I now stick with ONLY the green and yellow caps, which are the lemon-scented versions of Cascade.
We like the liquid due to fact that the powder---good as it is---eventually clogs your machine. This liquid is thick not watery and easier to work with.
I was using Cascades powdered soap and it always left a residue on my dishes and they were never clean. I decided to give this a try since it had such good reviews, and I'm glad I did! My dishes sparkle and actually come out CLEAN now. Liquid is better!
Dishwasher dish detergent is not an exciting product. It is not something I give a great deal of thought ... until I try an "off brand" and find greasy, spotted dishes in my dishwasher. THEN I think about the product and wonder why I buy anything other than Cascade, which is "tried and true": Cascade always cleans my dishes and leaves no spots on my glasses. I really like the lemon scent, too. Cascade brand is such an important product in our household that when my husband does the grocery shopping, he knows to get the Cascade.
For years I tried saving money using powdered dishwasher detergents and cheaper liquid ones but when advised by a repair guy to "only use Cascade liquid" I did so and had cleaner dishes with less spots, no clumpy mess left by powder residue and no "bubble overflow" from the cheaper liquids. Don't use too much. A little goes a long way.
The product smells like clean lemon. It is such a pleasant scent that leaves a hint of lemon. The dishes turned out smelling amazingly clean. This review was collected as part of a promotion, but the thoughts and the opinions are my own.
This cleaned my dishes so much better than the generic brand does. The smell wasnt overpowering and it didn't leave any gross spots on my glassware. Will definitely buy again. This review was collected as part of a promotion, but the thoughts and the opinions are my own.
works well. my old dishwasher does not do well with the packs and the powder doesn't always dissolve (yes the water is more than hot enough), the gel works best, can vary a little more or less depending on the load. Big jug is more economical but it is tough for us old folks with arthritic hands to manage.
Like most of the reviews here, dishes cone out dirtier . Leaves food mess and White spots all over dishes..!! What a waste of money…! Oh, it doesn't have even a little bit of lemon scent. It smells more like bleach.
Thought it would be nice to have a fresh sent in my dishwasher and soap is soap, right??. Wrong... was very disturbed that after some days of using, it looked like a "mild acid" had been poured down from the soap dispenser, down the door, and across the bottom screen to the drain. Had to really scrub trying to remove it without "scratching". It has taken MANY cycles using regular liquid to remove it. Can still see some "white" markings. Well, it IS lemon and lemon is an acid. Will not buy this again and the amount I have left will go in the trash. Perhaps it is the hard water we have here??? My once sparkling dishwasher still doesn't look back to normal.
