Great product. Before trying this brand I would only use Cascade because it was the only brand that would clean my dishes. I had a friend to recommend that I try Great Value Brand. I finally gave it a try and found that it works every bit as good as Cascade did for me and the price was a lot less. Now this is the only brand I use.
I have been using this product for months. It is as good if not better than any other dish washing product and is about half the price. no problem wih it at all
My niece was staying with me while her husband was deployed and she bought this once for our dishwasher. I was kind of irritated that she bought such a cheap product because I used to always buy the "big name" stuff. But after using this for a few weeks, I was sold! This works just as good as the other higher priced products, if not better! Would deff recommend!
Works reasonably OK, I pre-rinse everything. I like the liquid as I can add a bit more or less depending on the load. My very old dishwasher does not do well with the tablets or packs. Its not much different than the name brands at a lot better price, always important that the water is very very hot. Also if you put a few drops on a sponge it is really good to take coffee stains out of the cups, then throw the sponge in the dishwasher to clean it.
Soap trap is gunky white and the dishes have a white fog on them. I usually try the Great Value products but this isn't one that I will come back to. I wonder if anyone in WalMart product development has ever used this stuff? We used vinegar to try to clean out the washing machine with little success.
I have been using this product for years. Previously it was manufactured by a company whose product Wal Mart sold right alongside usually for $30 cents less. It was excellent. Recently, however, the supplier has changed. It appears to be from the same company that makes a leading buyer's club product that rated poorly. This product doesn't clean well. Avoid it.
This product leaves a film on all of your dishes. I usually don't have a problem with Great Value products, but this one is bad. I won't be buying it again.
I buy many Great Value items for my own, and typically find the quality to be comparable to, or sometimes even better than, other brands. That was not the case with this dishwashing liquid. It left streaks, stains, and an unpleasant film on all of my dishes and utensils. I thought it may have been the dishwasher, but after switching to another brand, my dishes are sparkling again.
I define a "value" product as one that is as good as (or nearly as good as) a name brand product but at a significantly reduced price. This detergent used to be a "great value". Not anymore. I'm guessing this product must have been reformulated recently or Walmart changed to a different supplier. It used to be in the bright green bottle shown. Now it's in a dark green bottle with a slightly different shape. Evidently, they changed more than the bottle because the detergent doesn't work nearly as well as it used to. With the old formula, our white dishes and coffee mugs came clean. The new formula leaves them dirty, even after two full cycles. I actually suspected a problem with our dishwasher, however, after switching to a highly rated name brand detergent (not named here because this isn't an advertisement for them), our dishes are clean again.
