We use other products from this manufacturer to treat our outer gear and its great. This is also a great product, I use it on my hats. Cloth, straw, felt, it really makes the water bead up. I spray the hats and then brush with a smooth cloth.
I liked it because it didn't smell it with all the easy and dried within 30 minutes. Good for my cowboy hats.
It does not tell you that it might some lighter colors darker
It's easy to use, once you go online and magnify the instructions lol. I just used it and haven't tested the water proofing effect but it came highly recommended by a friend who hikes weekly. He loves it and it's eco friendly so that is a bonus.
