This tub Matt fits my tub perfectly! This is a nice thick Matt and seems to be well made too. I like that it is a clear Matt so you can see if it's getting dirty underneath. This Matt is very nice it will not slide around and stays in place. This is easy to pull up though . This way you can let it dry underneath or to clean it. This bathmat is absolutely perfect for what I needed. The suction cups work well and sticks to my bathtub perfectly. No sliding at all. I like that it's clear and not too colorful. So it sort of blends in. It looks like little bubbles and it's textured. It's a decent size as well. I would recommend for older people or people with children.
The main thing I really like about this Mainstays tub bath mat is the way it seems to massage massage the feet w/o that hard plastic biting that so many bath mats naturally come equipped with, that's exactly why I stopped using them altogether. And it stays put. That, & the clearness of it, I like that...
I needed a mat for my tub so that its not so slippery. This works perfect. And I like the clear color. It is a very cute mat. I like the feel of it under my feet. It sticks really well in a tub or shower enclosure, but not on natural stone. The little suction cups won't stick.
This is your basic bath mat; clear, non-slip, easy to install & remove. As with all other bath mats, the cleaning process is time consuming but soaking it in a homemade cleaning solution does the trick for me. As per the instructions, it does not stick to textured surfaces, only to non-textured, old fashion slippery bath tubs. Good for the price!
We remodeled our bathroom and don't have a bath tub. We only have a shower, which I've almost fallen in a couple of times, so when I was offered the Mainstays Non-Slip Vinyl Bubble Tub Mat I couldn't wait to try it out. Straight out of the packaging I noticed a slight vinyl smell to it that reminded me of new inflatable beach balls, but the smell quickly faded by the time I placed it in our shower. After showering with the mat, my husband and I both agreed that we loved the cushy feel it had. It's very soft material, with raised circles that feel really good on your feet. We didn't feel the bath mat move around at all either. It seems to stick to our shower floor nicely. It also seems to drain pretty well. All in all, we're very happy with the Mainstays Non-Slip Vinyl Bubble Tub Mat.
Very functional, it works well for safety needs on showers and bathtub. It also looks very pleasing. It features cushioned bubbles on the surface that feels comfortable with plenty of suction cups to keep its shape and to keep the matt in place. Simple design easy to clean. The transparent/white durable 100% PVC is a plus, it really blends with any bathroom decor, and im sure it will last for long time. It does come with a weird smell, only noticeable when you smell it directly but thats no bother me at all so I recommend to place it in a solution of half water/white vinagre for few minutes to dissipates the factory smell as I usually do with any other items before using for the first time. It is also machine washable safe.
I won't shower without a bathmat. I have had way too many bathtub falls in my life and have learned from my experiences. I appreciate the sleek look of the clear bubble bath mat from mainstays. it is soft under my feet and easy to rinse after my shower. I took off one star because it was difficult for me to get the suction cups to stick to my tub. I learned that this mat only works if the tub is pre-moistened with water first. I haven't had this issue with a bath mat before, which I found surprising. It isn't overly large, but it does provide plenty of space for an adult to shower safely. It is machine washable which makes cleaning it a breeze. I prefer to pre-scrub it before tossing it into the washing machine. Before using it, just make sure that all of the suction cups have adhered to your tub so it doesn't slip around when you step on it.
I recently put the Mainstays Clear Oval Bubble Vinyl Bath Tub Mat in our tub. I have three small children and needed something for safety. The size of the mat is perfect. The kids are able to stand on it while they take their showers and do not have to worry about slipping. I like that the mat is clear which makes it not very noticeable or an eye sore. The best part is that it's machine washable! The mat could be just a little thicker but it's soft and works really well.
This mat is a decent-looking tub mat meant to help keep people from slipping while taking a shower. It's made of a very pliable form of vinyl, and sticks to the tub floor via suction cups. Its top texture is somewhat sticky, and stays that way when wet. The mat itself smells very strongly of vinyl, to the point of filling the bathroom with the odor. Hopefully that will dissipate soon now that it's laid out flat in the tub. The mat is fine enough, assuming the smell does go away in a few days. It did indeed add a bit of traction to the tub floor, and I felt safer once it was in there. It seems like a fast, inexpensive solution and is better than some other tub mats I've run into. However, the instructions it comes with have some problematic aspects that I believe need to be addressed. The beginning of the instructions are fine enough, suggesting to clean the tub and get both it and the mat wet before installation. That's fine - clean surfaces and water make suction cups adhere well. But that's where the realism ends. The rest of the instructions are written for someone who is much more flexible and fit than anyone I would expect to use this product. They say to bend over to install it and to push it into place with your hands, and then manage to pull it up again for rinsing after every shower. Of course, that means it'd have to be reinstalled for every shower, too, requiring even more bending if the instructions are obeyed. This is not possible for me, and I suspect that many people who would use this product would not be able to do it either. To work around this, I stayed standing up and mashed it into position with my foot until it was firmly stuck down (keeping one leg, and my weight, firmly on the dry bathroom floor for safety). Also, it will stay exactly where it is until it falls apart. The shower will rinse it off just like it rinses me. Then it says not to use it with body wash because it could get slippery! Since I'm not giving up my body wash, I tested it using the wash anyway. Fortunately, it did work with my brand, and reasonable caution, just fine. Five stars for the actual mat. One star for the instructions. I figure that gives an average of about 3 stars, hence my rating.
This mat is smaller than I expected for my tub. The suction cups are hard to want to stay in place and want to come up. It also slides around in the shower. It may be because it was rolled up during shipment and that may get better. But right now, its not working well. It does prevent the floor of the tub from being slippery. It also feels weird on your feet. I dont think I would recommend this product.
