Purchased for use in our camper due to limited space. Exactly what we needed. Good quality and had several installation options. Took a bit to assemble but it did come with pretty good instructions.
This is a wonderful product that can be used three ways; on the floor to ceiling, on tub shelf to ceiling, or on the door where the brackets are. It is great to hang a wet towel on after getting out of the shower or bath instead of hanging it over the tub or putting it in a hamper where mold can grow until wash day, and the three long rods and the short one are perfect if you have more than one towel. I hang my long tub mat on the bottom rod to dry after each shower/bath, one long rod for my towel, and the very top short rod to hang my washcloth. I use the middle rod to hand my dish rag and dish towel on as well. The unit does not take up space and I have it floor to ceiling next to my tub which is quite handy. I gave one as a gift and will most likely buy one or two more for more gifts. I may even buy one to use in my laundry room.
I searched high and low on the internet for a Towel Caddy with arms that could swing in and out of the bath tub. I had removed my towel bar from the bathroom wall in order to paint an undersea wall mural on it. I didn't want another towel bar over my artwork and with no other wall space available for a towel bar; I decided that my only recourse would be one that installed to the tub area and could swing out of the tub if you wanted to take a shower. This unit is perfect for my situation, and the unit was very easy to put together. Another great feature is the number of arms it comes with. The lowest one is handy for hanging my tub mat so it can drip inside of the tub to dry. I don't know why some people complained about shabby construction of the unit. I think it is quite sturdy. I did incorporate the added piece that screws to the wall so you can snap the pole into it for extra support. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, even if you don't have a mural to work around. It's convenient and looks nice.
I was looking for a way for our son to dry his towels and swim suit while living in the dorm. This can either hook to the back of the door or press fit in a corner near the heater. He can put a bin under his suit to catch the drips while it dries. It seems strong and sturdy.
Ideal for saving space in a compact bathroom. Construction is metal with hard plastic hinges. I don't drag my towel when I pull out but lift off of it. Sturdier than I expected it to be. I have it installed from floor to ceiling and not on door. Could be $5 cheaper but it serves the purpose I was looking for. Each rod can be adjusted to desired level.
I bought the caddy because of lack of logistics planning by my sweetie. The caddy not only provided a needed towel rack, but provided space for a bath mat and sponge holder. The rack is sturdy and blends well. You can't beat it for utility and price.
By the picture on the box I thought I got the wrong item. To my surprise it was like getting three in one! There was the parts for all three set-ups, ceiling to floor, tub to ceiling and the back hinge of the door mount.
I installed it from the floor to the ceiling outside a standup shower where there is no wall to mount a towel bar, easy to grab a towel over the shower door without having open to the door and get the floor wet from the door dripping. Arms swing around fine 360 degrees, you can place them anywhere on the pole. Swing arms out to get in the shower stall and swing the poles back toward the shower stall when you get in to reach the towel when you are finished showering. Once you are out of the shower, swing the pole's back toward the shower door and your towels are out of the way. It's not rock solid sturdy but sturdy enough, worth the price. If you've never put a tension pole together before, the directions can be a little confusing when putting the pole part together.
Our guest bathroom has only one towel rail -- inside the shower!! Can't think why they thought that was a good idea. We had several guests recently and this solved the towel dilema nicely.
Tube design does not get the post on vertical install (tub to ceiling) truly straight. Prior unit (do not know the vendor and probably about 20 years old) had a slightly longer diameter and the connections were tighter so was more vertically straight. Hangers install so there is a slant downwards back to the vertical post so appears water will 'run' to post (prior unit did the same thing but not as prominent a slope). Old unit rusted out at post and hangar ends and thought this one might do the same. We did wrap each hanger at the post with white electrical tape to hopefully keep water from getting back to the end of the hangar at the post and to the post.
