I bought the first on (Blue) when it first came out. It works wonderful for those pests gnats & mosquitoes. I plan to buy another one just for an extra one for working in the garden
I purchased two of these 2 years ago and purchased 2 more last year. My son and I use them at Civil War reenactments to keep mosquitos out to our tent. They work great. We simply placed them on our footlockers and they kept us from getting bitten. Saved us both from what could have been a miserable night of fighting bugs.
We used this product as a family at the beach and it helped with the bugs so much
I love the option to clip it on rather than putting on my skin. Lasts for at least 72 hours it seems.
A bit larger than I thought it would be. I have not used it yet, but it seems like it would work. I have still yet to try it, which I'm sure won't be too long, with the upcoming change of seasons. Considering all other reviews, and with what I've heard, I would recommend this product. Anticipating ...
I have several of the older (blue) ones, and they certainly keep the bugs away. But once you open a repellent package, it evaporates whether you turn the fan on or not, so you can't use it two days in a row without refilling it. You can't use part of a package one day and the rest another day, or even set it up one day for use the next day. It also has a slight odor so I wouldn't use it around food, it is probably spraying a slight mist over everything.
Please take my advice and read the fine print with this product. 1. It doesn't work if you are moving!!! So to be clear you have to stand still outside in order for this product to be even remotely effective. 2. The refill indicator is NOT accurate which means there is no way to know if the cartridge is even useful. This means even if you are outside and not moving you STILL may be bitten by mosquitos. 3. What is Metofluthrin? Is it safe for dogs, kids or around food? Based on the label it doesn't appear to be the safest option. 4. The batteries don't last very long. 5. The product doesn't work for groups which means you would need to buy multiple units! 6. No way this product is worth $10!!! If you want it to actually work for the entire summer it will cost you over $20!!. I spent $25 myself last summer using this contraption. Thats my two cents. I NEVER comment on products but I had to this time around.
