This has been one of our go to laundry detergents since our daughter was a baby and we switched to free and clear. It is a little on the expensive side but if you catch it on sale it's definitely worth it. We bounce back and forth depending on our budget for the month. I like that this doesn't have much of a smell.
I received a sample of the free and clear detergent by joining Generation Good, Seventh Generations website/community. All of these opinions are my own and I am happy to share. My daughter cut her finger and stained her uniform shirt for school with blood. I didn't have time to wash it because it was time for school. So the stain sat. I finally got around to washing it and didn't pretreat the stain just threw it in. The stain came out beautifully! We also have skin sensitivity and chemical sensitivity. I was worried that the SLS would irritate us as other products have. So far no issues! However I would love to see a higher concentration product with less fillers. Give it a try!
First time buying this and though the detergent seems ok, there are no lines on the cap to measure the liquid out, even though the directions say to use the cap lines. They don't exist. Also the cap spills down the bottle every time I pour or put the cap back on, so its a mess after using it just three times.
How did this cap make it through the Research and Development department? Why change from the old cap which worked just fine? You spill more on everything else than what makes it into the washer. You need to fix this, like yesterday. We'll just switch to a different Free & Clear brand for the time being because cleaning up after this is not worth the extra time.
I have used Seventh Generation laundry detergent for years now. The new cap design is terrible. Liquid detergent gets everywhere, even when I put the top on and then wipe the outside of the cap (never had to do this before), I still had detergent drip on my feet as I carried the bottle. Had to wipe/wash my foot that was in sandles, and make sure my sandal didn't have detergent on it. I no longer keep this detergent in the closet because of the mess, I keep it in a hard surfaced floor area. Please fix the cap to how it used to be!
Love this detergent and have been using it for several years. I DO NOT love the new green lid however. Detergent spills over and makes a horrible mess. I'm over it and am looking for other options now.
Really excited to try this..bought 7 bottles thinking it was going to be great! Especially since my kids have sensitive skin & Said dermatologist recommended!!! All my clothes are now faded and stiff! Why?! I tried 6 different loads..correct amounts in each. How misleading now down 1k from faded thinning clothes! Pros: does get out stains. My kids aren't allergic to this laundry detergent.
I'm so sick and tired of the new cap. It drips everywhere! I don't understand why they thought this was a good design. Every time I use it, I get detergent on my hands, on the bottle, and on my laundry room floor. I had to start storing the bottle inside of a tote because it's so messy. I will be switching to a different brand until this is fixed.
I recieved samples to try out and I'm not a fan. I realize this is made free and clear with no scent, however when I pull my laundry out of the dryer and the smell dirty even when using my favorite fabric softener it makes me turn my nose up in disgust. I love the clean products but I can't do the no scent where it leaves my clothes smelling worse then when they went into the wash.
Where is line 4?? And “just below line 5”? There are no lines on it, and I got my sink full of foam trying to clean the drippings from the cap, no matter how careful I pour.
