I first tried charcoal pills that my daughter had purchased. They went up in price and so I shopped around, found some charcoal pills at Walgreens on sale, and when I ran out I ordered these. The milligrams are the same and so is the effectiveness. This is a product you should always have on hand in case of food poisoning, upset stomach, or gas. I gave two of those to my husband the other day when he was suffering with gas and he was amazed by the effectiveness. For me, they help with stomach problems from IBS. Sometimes I take them for reflux and they help as well. I even took them after I ate some meat in the refrigerator that I hadn't realized had gone bad until after I had already eaten it. I was traveling internationally two days later and was afraid I would have to cancel my trip. I took two of those for the next three days and I was fine. The only side effect I get from them is constipation, and your BMs are going to turn black, but don't let that worry you. Great product to always have on hand in your medicine cabinet

I use these to remove odors from my sons football cleats, his work boots that got wet, and my slip ons. All I do is open the capsule and pour into shoe. Knock the powder around so that it is distributed as much as I can get it.
