The helmet is good for keeping the wind off your head in your ears and keeping bugs from heading you and the face or one flying in your mouth. And good if you have to ride in the rain. So the rain want head you in the eyes.
Crashed going 35 MPH and it protected me. I didn't feel a thing (on my head)
For the ON-LINE price this is a super buy! Note that this was priced @ $74 in the store and only $39 if ordered on-line. I ordered and picked up within an hour. Ventilation could be a little bit better but for the price this is an excellent value.
Nothing bad on the helmet, fits good and looks sturdy en quality seems to be good. Used it only 5 times though but it is not a low quality product. The only thing that made me a bit upset is that the receipt in the box showed a price of $29.85....I paid $52.65. Still not bad for the product and perhaps Walmart will send me a check. Worth the money and my son can now go for a ride with me and our bike...priceless.
Received a great price for such a nice helmet with the bundle. The fit is amazing, a true large. My only complaint is that it smells horrible and it doesn't seem to be subsiding.
Good quality and features for the price. I was able to buy a tinted shield on the manufacturers website, which is great on the sunny Florida days. The one dislike is that one vent doesn't stay open but overall good helmet.
My head circumference came in around 24 so ordered the X-large rather than the large - GREAT CALL on the one size up. Fits snug and tight, but not too tight.
First, the sizing is one size off. I wear a large, but I had to get an XL in this helmet. Second, the cloth covered liner is rough on your forehead. I managed to depress the foam in the forehead area and remove the pressure point -- the roughness of the cloth remains. Third....it smells! Sat the new helmet over the dehumidifier with the fan set on high and continuous for several days. That cleared out most of the smell. The faceshield works great, and the little snap that keeps the end of the chin strap from slapping around in the wind is a nice touch. The adjustable vents seem to work well. While it has some shortcomings, the value is really great.
The helmet arrived without the visor...so wtong that it was delivered from store with a missing piece. Box had been opened, but was needed that day, no others available in store to exchange. Very disappointed.
I do not recommend the safety of this helmet the first wreck I got into with this helmet. The literal first time I hit the ground I went into a coma and had a seizure I would not recommend this for anyone that wants safety over there life ever.
