I have a 2010 Camaro SS 6.2 V8. I've always used Valvoline or Mobil 1 and the car ran great with either oil. Recently I decided to give Pennzoil Platinum a try. I didn't think I'd notice a difference but wow.... The engine sounds much quieter and the upper ticking noise I had during cold start is hardly noticeable. Definitely using Pennzoil from now on.
I switched to Pennzoil Synthetics in 2007 when my family bought a new Toyota, and have faithfully followed the brand to the end of the world and back. Our vehicle now has 250K miles on an original engine (no internal engine repairs) and I credit this entirely to the excellent quality synthetic oil Pennzoil has produced for so many years. Even with the high mileage I have no oil loss, no engine noise, no loss of power, no "dry starts" in cold weather AND the oil still appears to be mostly clean at the 5000 mile oil changes! I could not recommend any other oil to anyone. Thanks Pennzoil, for helping keep our car on the road and car payments off my checkbook!!
Yes the only difference I feel is quieter motor, and I can push my engine further with this brand oil! Stays golden at least in my engine for the entire OCI. And I did a side by side comparison oil analysis and my wear numbers get lower and lower everytime I use this oil or Ultra Platinum. Ran this for 5 oil changes (25k miles), then ran one run of Mobil 1 extended (which is supposed to last longer and be better) and I saw higher wear levels than all my 5 runs of Pennzoil Platinum. So that should speak for something. Not here to sell but the wear numbers speak for themselves.
I replaced to old oil with this synthetic high mileage oil and it has been fenomenal. I have a 2002 Toyota Landcruiser with 233,679 miles and I found that the vehicle performs at a slightly lower temperature and provides some fuel economy. I also notest that since is a gas based oil and not petroleum based the oil indicator shows to be slightly lower, but once the vehicle is running it levels at the correct mark. Recommend this product 100%...
Started using synthetics in 1975. Found Pennzoil Platinum several years ago. I put 7,000 miles on my 2.0L 4-cylinder between changes. Pennzoil Platinum has been remarkable. Improved MPG, as well as no usage (evaporation) in 7,000 miles. The dipstick reads the same level before the oil change as it did 7,000 miles previous. And the oil is as visually clear at change time as when it went in new. Remarkable product.
I have two Jeep Wranglers a 2008 and 2011. Have been running this oil for years and it looks as good after 4000 miles as it did when it went in. Good gas mileage and smooth idle. I have been a Pennzoil customer for over 30 years and have never needed any engine work on anything using their oil.
You're left with no doubt that this is good oil. My engine starts up noticeably quicker, and fresh oil means a happy engine. High quality oil means I can confidently keep it for the entire OE service interval, not change it sooner because of oil quality questions.
I've been using Pennzoil Platinum for years. I use it in all my cars and lawn equipment. I've never had any engine problems. I have a John Deere mower with a 4 hp briggs and stratton engine that was bought in 1980 and it still runs. I am a completely satisfied customer.
I used to buy quaker state but when i did a teardown and rebuild of my dodge ram engine i found a lot of oil sludge at the bottom a friend suggested Pennzoil which I tried and when I re did my engine there was no sludge the journeys and components were completely scoured clean and there was zero wear on bearings and pistons I'm amazed Now I only use Pennzoil in all my gasoline and diesel engines
Been using this motor oil for my last 4 oil changes. Very impressed by the smoothness of my motor and dosen't burn-off or stink after a couple thousand miles like some top-end comparator oils. If it's good for the 7.6L Twin Turbo V8 of the Venom F5, it's good enough for me!
