I used the duvet to do the guest bedroom. It was the center of the room to work with. Adding accents in black and white with touches of red to the room makes it look professionally done.
My daughter has a platform bed with drawers, so there's no need for a dust ruffle. All other duvet sets included this, and it would be wasted money. We waited a long time for Wal Mart to carry the full/queen size, and the black can't be found even in the bedding superstores. An amazing value! Buy a set before they realize they could charge more!
I wasn't sure what to expect before this set arrived at my house. I loved the look, but was unsure about the color bleeding. Sure enough, wash it according to the instructions & the color doesn't bleed at all. We bought this for our guest room, It looks lovely. After reading some other reviews, yes the Duvet cover is thin, but it is meant to be that way. It has buttons along one side that you can slip a down comforter into it, which is what we did & it looks great! For the price, I would definitely recommend this product.
This product is truly amazing.. I dont know how anyone could think otherwise.. very well made.. and Yes I need to agree with the prior statements.. This is not a comforter this is a duvet cover.. you put your own comforter inside.. it does not come with one... it is very well made and havent had a problem with the colors running at all.. i perticularly love the way it closes at the bottom... so that your comforter doesnt slip even a lil bit out.. if your looking for a rich clean look this definetly the duvet for you..
...what you pay for. Considering the price, this was just what I wanted and an excellent value. While the fabric is not very soft and some gray spots appeared after I washed it, I purchased this to create a specific look for my guest room--and I accomplished that. The alternative was a similar-looking luxury set for $600. If you don't have $600 to spend on bedding, this is the next best thing.
It seems that a lot of people are confused about this product. A duvet cover is not a comforter. A duvet cover is a cover that goes over your existing comforter. This is why there is an opening on one of the sides. You slip your existing comforter into it. It should be sheet thin because that is how it's made.
We looked and looked for a black and white duvet set for my oldest daughter. I came here at the last moment, and typed in black and white duvet and I found this. I ordered it shipped to the store, it arrived on time and was exactly what she wanted. We washed and did not have any problems, (cold water wash, gentle cycle as tag said, put in the dryer) nice and crisp looking I will be buying from this site again.
I liked it online, but when I received it , I thought it wasn't really worth the price I paid. It's too thin and it's like puting two sheets together. I will keep it and use it, but not happy with the product overall. I liked th picture online but it did not caputure the real thing very well. I will certainly buy again just not onlne unless I have seen it in person. I do love Wal-Mart overall. Great values and love the store hours. Very convenient...
I purchased this set in the beginning of the year. I washed my set several times and never had an issue with bleeding. The buttons began popping off after the 3rd time I washed the duvet. Be careful with colored blankets though... the colors from a blanket I had on the end of the bed bled in to the duvet and ruined it. I haven't been able to find another duvet to match my color scheme, so as soon as this is back in stock I will buy another. This set looks great if you have a really thick down comforter to put inside and the correct size pillows to fill out the cases.
This would be a great product if the fabric quality were upgraded a bit. I was excited to find this set at this price, but you do get what you pay for. I ended up returning it because the fabric was just too thin for what i wanted. I bought the full/queen set, and on my full-size bed, you couldn't really see the large black square on the duvet cover because it fell way over the sides of the bed. perhaps it would be better on a queen? The design is really sharp, and it's not a bad set for the price - just not what I was expecting.
