I do not know what the secret is about these brushes but they pick up dust and dirt like magic. I understand the knock offs do not work as well, (and were more expensive at the auto parts store). I do wish Walmart would let you know items are simply available at the store when you order instead of having to wait two weeks for ordered item to arrive.
I bought my Original California Dash Duster from Walmart. I noticed some dust accumulating on my dash. after receiving my duster in a plain cardboard box from Walmart I opened it. It looked cheap. I pulled it out of the plastic and it looked a little better. I let it air out for a night. I shook it and took out some loose fibers. I then used it on the das of my 2014 Chrysler 200 and it took all the dust off my dash. It works! I put it in my glove box for easy access. I can now dust on the flash!
I have one in every car, one in the garage, and we use one in the house to dust tables and woodwork. They are worth their wait in gold.
Well, some bad reviewers obviously have too high of expectations. Ive had mine for well over 10 years and still works great, quick, and easy. I actually started using it for dusting in the house so now I need to buy another for my car. Sure there are always gonna be spaces where youre gonna have to use your hands and fingers to get into, but its money very well spent overall.
Unfortunately Wallys has the best price also. The waxed, California duster is best designed, collects the dust, even cleans windows and WM has the best price for it.
We got one of these for Christmas for the dashboard of our car. We liked it so much we used it inside the house and we recently purchased 3 more. Good prioduct and I would recommend it highly.
This is a good and useful product. The current version (the mini duster) is a good bit smaller than the previous product of the the same name. Expect it will work OK anyhow.
I needed a better way to dust off my dash than a wet towel - hard to reach corners and lots of curves make dusting a hassle and the result is disappointing - this duster makes the big difference - it can reach every nook and corner, and really leaves a clean and even result - it's also a lot quicker than before - the shape of the head can cover all angles - plus it's washable - going to buy 1 for the wifes car -
Several years ago I bought this product at the Walmart store, but last month my dog got a hold of it and tore it up. Walmart no longer sells them in the store. So I found them online and ordered 2. They are half the size of the original duster, and has more plastic parts. Looks very cheap, but is better than nothing.
This duster leaves more lint than it picks up - and it's red lint! The rubber-like membranes on the dash and doors actually grab at this duster and RED LINT sticks to membrane and it's hard to remove! What a PIA!
