This is an excellent item for those who love to shop and with those strict baggage rules, its very important not to be overweight. I don't know what I would have done without this scale on our last trip. I made sure all our suitcases were at the recommended weight before leaving to hotel. (We used to head to the airport early and use the scales there, and then have the sometimes embarrassing chore of unpacking and repacking in front of EVERYONE!) Just strap the luggage and lift and in 3 seconds or less you have your weight! Can't live without it now
This is really good scale for accurate weignng
We got this scale for a trip to Europe where we were taking an inter-European flight that had more stringent requirements than US airlines. My husband wasn't sure we needed it, but it proved SO USEFUL! We've traveled tons back and forth to Europe and we stay with friends who have a regular person scale, so we've always used that when packing (pack the bag, close it, get on the scale, balance the bag behind our back so we can read the scale, get off the scale, put the bag down, get back on the scale, do the math...). But having this scale along was so great! It doesn't weigh very much and it allowed us to weight our luggage much easier. And when we found a suitcase was too heavy, we were able to take out a few items, put them in a plastic bag, and weight the plastic bag to see if we'd removed enough! Also, our carry-ons were limited to 6 kg in Europe, and so this scale came in VERY handy for weighing those ahead of time. This DEFINITELY made the trip easier! The scale also beeps when it's registered the weight and then holds that info on the display, so you can then put the bag down and read the display. Very nice feature. The display also does lbs and kg, which was also quite handy since we needed the kg info in Europe. It also has a tape measure built in. I did actually use it once to see if we used the expandable zipper on our suitcase if it would still meet the size limits. The tape measure seemed to only be about 24" long, which meant I had to measure half way across the suitcase and then measure the other half way across. Kind of annoying, but at the same time, a whole lot easier than not having a tape measure at all! Because of the short length of the tape measure I only gave it 4 stars in "features."
It's really light for a scale. It does the work and I can take it with me every time I travel it helps me avoid problems with bags being too heavy. I've had it for three years already. I just love it.
I have struggled with the issue of getting on a trip and wondering how my bags are weighted. I really hate being at the airport ticket line and having to unzip my bags to move shoe and such to meet weight limits. This allows me to check the weights on a trip and know what the weights are. My only beef so far is how big the item is. Also it is a bit of a technique to pick up the bag as I am not very tall but once you level the item it beeps when it reaches a set limit and then you can look at it. SO it is good.
We were taking a family vacation and this time we had to weigh the luggage and we didn't know how we were going to do this . So I went online and find' this on walmart and order it and we were very happy with it. I would recommand this to anyone. Thank you
Handy product. Personally I find it hard to lift it up once strapped to luggage, but my husband can do it. Has a recoilable tape measure on the side as well.
