I have a Trek Mamba mt bike in which I use this bike everyday. I play dirty and ride in the mud and sandy conditions. This chain cleaner is the best and really gets all the dirt and grease out of the rollers. Walmart also sells the Dupont Teflon chain saver in which I been using for 10 years and keeps chains like new! Dupont chain saver is with the motorcycle lubes.
I purchased the item at my local Walmart (came with 2 bottles of cleaner/no lubricant) and can highly recommend this tool. Easy to attach, operate, and clean a bike chain in less than a minute. Well worth the price. Should work with any concentrated cleaning solution. I use chain wax for lubricant. Bike is Trek 7100.
It gets some very basic cleaning done, but nothing too deep. For nearly the same value, a Park Tools Cyclone has side brushes that do a better job. If I were making this purchase again, I would go with the cyclone.
