Smart buy. I keep at least 8/10 gallons of gas at home during the winter months for emergencies like the generator or other weather related stuff. Sitting thru rough weather you need to keep gas fresh. If no emergency then it's good for the lawn mower months later with this additive.
I did not know that gas went bad after a few months. AND. There is NO easy way to siphon bad gas out of newer cars. Siphon-proof. (Now, thieves drill holes in the tank, under the rig). I had to pay a mobile mechanic to remove the gas. STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer, recommended by mechanic. Lesson learned.
Keep gas in and for my Generator. Power goes out all the time then it might be months before I use it again. Top off the tank and can. Keeps it fresh for clean starts.

I have been using Sta-Bil in my gas for years. It does what it's intended to do. Keeps left over gas fresh through the winter, and maybe for years. I introduced Sta-Bil to my neighbor as he leaves old gas in his lawn equipment over Winter and has a hard time getting them started come spring. I'm sure he won't have any trouble next season.
I left gas in my mower all off season. I also had a stabilized tank of Gass all off season. I finished the gas in the mower, and the whole time it was not running well and not cutting the best. I switched the the gas woth stabil in it, and the mower went back to being great and powerful. I also later used new gas. I was indistinguishable performance from the kind that was old but had stabil.
The Sta-bil fuel stabilizer I received was over 8 and 1/2 years old and therefore useless for it's intended purpose. I have yet to receive a reply after contacting the seller. Beware!
Seller shipped me expired product. Bottle was produced in 2015. It has a 5 year unopened shelf life from production date. It has been expired now for 4 years. Shady business practice. Item returned.
