The female spade connectors do not fit standard speaker terminals. They do not make a tight connection. Even though they say 18-16 gauge wire, the blue covering indicates 16-14 gauge and itâs apparent they donât work on 18 gauge unless you over crimp - which can damage the wire. I ended up cutting these all out and replacing them with another brand
The spade terminals will work as advertised, but the speaker terminals will not fit 12- or 14-gauge wires as the packaging states. "4 each 12-, 14-, 16- and 18-gauge 1/8" speaker quick disconnects with platinum finish 8 each 12-, 14-, 16- and 18-gauge 1/4" speaker quick disconnects with platinum finish" The description for these should list only 16- and 18-gauge wires, and not as shown...
I wish I had. These will NOT fit standard 16-18 gauge like it states. I've used up half the kit on ONE SPEAKER and the terminal keeps coming off.
