Awesome product!!! Easy to install only took about 3 hours total and there was no need for a lift for my silverado. The hardest part was gettin rid of the old exhaust. Just need to take it to our shop to tig weld the 3.5" tips on!!(you can clamp them on, but theft around here would see them go missing!!) Everything fits nicely!! The only Problem I had was the nuts to the exhaust flange were seized and ended up using the air hammer and replaced the pressed in bolts with regular stainless and a nylock nut!! But other then that looks good and sounds good!!!
I recently purchased a Magnaflow Cat Back system for my 2004 Dodge Hemi Durango and both the product and the service I received from Real Truck was "Outstanding." The sales people were extremely courteous and the parts tracking process and their personal communication was exceptional. The parts were delivered exactly on the date they said they would arrive and they offered the best price available for this exhaust system. I would highly recommend purchasing from this company and would do so again. Note: The Madnaflow System in quality, sound, and performance is the best system on the market. My Durango now sounds like a HEMI should.
I am real happy with the exhaust system i recieved and also the prompt service i recieved from the staff at realtruck. They were very helpfull and answered all my questions with great concern and honesty. I will continue to order parts from real truck in the future. Thanks very much.............
This product# will not fit an 09-10 Siverado. I did get the correct Magnaflow kit for my truck and it sounds amazing. I purchased a Gibson super truck exhaust first and returned it a week later (sound was terrible). I bought the mangaflow split rear exhaust and my truck now has the perfect exhaust tone.
I installed this on a 2008 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado 4x4 5.3 L Crew Cab PU Truck. Quick and simple install that anyone with good hand tools can do. I did however run into problems at the exhaust flange where both bolts broke off and had to be drilled out. This little step took about an extra hour. The look and performance of the exhaust is top quality. The sound is terrific.
Installed on a 2007 FX4. The install and fit were exceptional. I had to bend one of the hangar brackets slightly to get it to align with the rubber hanger but this wasn't a big problem. All the tubing joints go together effortlessly. The finish is very nice an all the parts. This system gives the truck a nice deep tone at idle and a throatier sound on acceleration. At highway speeds the sound is barely noticeable. This system is louder than stock but not too loud. Just a note on the install process, the factory exhaust can be removed in one piece. It works best to lift the truck off the rear suspension to give more room for removal. The factory pipe has a locking key on top so the pipe must be turned before it will slide out. The only way to accomplish this is to remove the rubber hangers from the frame, and then remove the exhaust. This also makes it easier to install, put the rubber hangers on the new brackets before putting the pieces in place. Start from the front and work your way back. Snug the joints slightly, just enough to hold tension, then just tweak here and there to suit your desired fit. Again start from the front and tighten the clamps. Tighten one and check alignment, repeat and you will be happy.
Fits absolutely perfect. Easy to install. Factory exhaust comes out in one piece. Nice mellow tone with zero drone. This is the way this truck should sound from the factory. Looks great. You can't see the resonator and the tip sits like it should. The factory exhaust looks ridiculous. This exhaust is worth the extra money. It is stainless steel, and the tip is not put on with clamps that will rust and look cheap over time. The tip is welded to the tailpipe like it should be.
Took me a little more than 1.5 hours since I don't have a shop, I only have myself at 65 I do a good job! Saving fuel depend on your speed and traffic, long haul would be good depending on terrain and load. Best of all The Sound!
Initially, there were a few disappointments with this product: 1. The end of one of the exhaust tips was bent (something that clearly happened at the factory, since the box was unharmed). So I did my best to bend/hammer it back since I didn't feel like returning the product and waiting another week or two. 2. This kit did not come with enough nuts or washers to complete the install, and the screws did not fit. Magnaflow just assumed I would be able to reuse the screws/nuts from my old exhaust, but the nuts were welded onto my old exhaust. Also, my original screws were not long enough to reuse with the Magnaflow system. Luckily, I was able to find some screws/nuts in the auto center to make it work. 3. If you want the exhaust tips to come out pretty close to body panels so that you don't lose much clearance in front of your tire, the muffler will have to hang pretty low to achieve this angle. In order to remedy this, I had to take an angle grinder and grind down a suspension bracket on my truck. With all of that being said (and a lot of sweat and headache in the shop), here is the upside of this Magnaflow exhaust: It sounds AMAZING. Truly couldn't imagine it sounding better. If a lion, a bear, and t-rex all had a baby, and that baby grew into a big strong lirexbear and it roared, that's what this sounds like if you floor it. But then when you get to speed and lay off the gas, it's totally silent. Pretty awesome. All in all, it was worth the headache for me since it sounds awesome. This was installed on a 2010 F150 5.4L Supercrew by the way, and I recommend having a friend help.
Installed this on a 2007 F150 5.4 SCAB. I gave it 2 stars only for the quality of the materials and welds. The fitment is just ok - if the first and third hangers sit properly and everything is tight together, why is the middle hanger too short to sit fully in the saddle? Sound, well there is a lot of drone. In fact, there is nothing but DRONE. Especially between 1700-2000 rpm, right where this truck sits under normal acceleration. Quite a bit at highway speeds as well. There is also an annoying "buffeting" sound in the truck under acceleration (sort of like what you get in some cars with a back window open on the highway). I took it to my local exhaust shop and the only thing he could come up with is adding a resonator before it with no promise it would fix anything, which with as much money as I already sunk into this I'm not willing to do. Its coming off and the stock system is going back on for now.
