Update of prior review - we received broken part. Took an hour to put together. Looks great. Matches other furniture in the room. Happy with the purchase. Might get a matching piece at a later date.

Great value for the price
This shelf is a good deal. It looks good and isn't flimsy. It's a pain to assemble, as is all furniture I've come across. Just be patient and take it a step at a time. One hint - if the vertical front panels don't fit, go back and reposition the horizontal piece across the middle. Of course, if you're better at following directions than I am, you won't have this problem. This dark shelf is antique in style, so expect inconsistencies in the finish. I think it looks fine and would purchase again.
I ordered and assembled two small Sauder cabinets for my bathroom, and they were SO easy and SO nice, I decided to order the Sauder shelves as well. Of course, the shelves are bigger and there is more hardware and steps, but still, I found these shelves easy to assemble. I've been assembling for own furniture for many years and the Sauder products are the best I've encountered. They look very stylish and do not look like assembled furniture. I bought two of these shelves - the antique look is great. Some people commented on these shelves not being white and no, they are not white-white - they are "antique white" which is an off-white. I really like it, being that my walls in the living room are white-white. I think the shelves are worth every penny.
This cabinet worked out perfect for my doll collection. My husband who hates to put things together had absolutely no oroblems. It is extremely well made and very sturdy. I thought with the low price I paid it would be very cheaply made. I was pleasantly surprised.
I bought two of these online, I got them, put them together which was fairly simple (if you are used to assemlying furniture togther), and I really liked them. The color is darker than I had pictured in my head but never the less I still liked them. I think it was a really good buy. They are sturdy and really pretty. You really need two people to finish putting these together. They are really heavy for one person to pick up. I would buy them again.
For two months I looked for this color product on other websites. They just didn't have the one. I'm so happy to find it, and the style is perfect. However, I found the matching tv stand on another site. All of them were the same style and I love it. It's heavy and beautiful.
This is a great bookcase for the money. You must be very precise and careful putting it together because once you mess up the particle wood there is no going back. I am going to replace one piece that the screw got stripped out. The bookcase is off white (which is what I wanted) not white.
I really didn't want to rate it for stars cause the end result may be different than my experience, but I had to. I am mostly reviewing what happens when you need a replacement part thru Sauder. Ordered this in antique white. Color is perfect. Fast shipping by Walmart. Have not put together because, after receiving this item and almost immediately opening the box, we discovered a broken corner on one of the side pieces. We continued to remove parts and found the broken top corner. We considered trying to repair it but the piece was too large. Immediately I went on Sauder.com and ordered a new side panel. The order process was very easy and my order is on their web site. However, and this may be the weak link, based on what info has been provided, receiving the part may be a slow process. It has been 2 days and it hasn't been shipped (think they said it could take 2-3 BUSINESS days). Additionally it will be 6-8 (BUSINESS) days in transit - maybe more because it is a large part (could add up to 2 more BUSINESS days) So, I received the bookcase from Walmart in 5 days, but it appears it could take over 2-weeks to receive the replacement side piece. So, for now it sits on my living/dining room floor, and will sit there for however long it takes. Yay. Hope the wait is worth it. I also hope I can do an update at that time.
