i love this table. my furniture is espresso so i didnt want a black piece, and this fits in beautifully. its almost black, but it is indeed a very dark brown with a touch of red, but only in direct light. its very tall so it works great behind my couch. its very heavy and seems to made out of wood and not particle board. some of the other reviews talked about scratches on it, but i guess i got lucky because mine was perfect. i gave it a 4 in appearance only because it comes with brass screws, but the corner pieces are a silver/pewter color. not very noticeable, but they should change it. looks much more expensive than it is. it took about 10 minutes to assemble. i would definitely recommend.
This piece is extremely attractive, sturdy and functional. It's easy to put together, took me about 30 minutes. It's sturdy enough that I am actually using it for my 32 inch screen television. I have cherry wood furniture, and it fits nicely in the entire room. I would definitely recommend this piece of furniture.
I wanted something inexpensive but stylish for our front entry, it looks great. It was so easy to put together and looks great. Its a dark cherry not black, so just be prepared of that. We also have the coffee table and end table in the same design, and they work out great.

I was shocked at how quickly this product was shipped to my house and also how easy it was for me to assemble. I'm a relatively small woman and I was able to put this table together with little effort in about 15 minutes. My furniture is modern and espresso colored and this table matches everything perfectly. The product description was accurate in saying that this table was dark walnut in color and would probably match pretty well with any dark reddish brown to dark chocolate colored furniture. I was also impressed with the material used to make the table. It really looks and feels like real wood!
This is my first online purchase of furniture. I was completely impressed with how easily it went together.The quality of the table, and it is a very nice piece in my room. I would recommend this item to anyone who has a need for this type of table. Thanks for good job. Roadking
I was pleased to find this console table at such a great price- the color is expresso finish which went great with my other furniture- easy assembly too!
The table is definitely a very rich brown and not black as it appears in the picture. Knowing this, I still bought the table for our guest bedroom as I needed it as a place to put our flat screen TV. Upon opening the box, I noticed one of the metal rings that gets attached to the table was bent out of shape but my hubby fixed it with a rubber mallet. Final assembly and upon inspection showed a deep scratch that was a few inches long and only noticeable if looking directly at the table. I thought about taking it back and reordering but figured it was not big enough to be much of a concern.
I bought this table to go in my foyer area where I have all black furniture and furnishings. So, I bought this because the description said is was black walnut ... well, the black coloring is not prominent. It has more of a red tint to it. In the dark it looks black, but in the light, it looks mahagony. Other than that though, the style, size, and price is exactly what I was wanting. The other great thing was it only took about a 1/2 hour to put together. A good buy!
I bought this table because the space I have in my guest room is limited with a king size bed in it but I needed somewhere for guests to set their laptop and makeup and this works great. I never did install the bottom braces on this table - I don't think it needs it and therefore I have space under the table to stash a suitcase if needed. I wish it would have been "blacker" in color but it is dark enough to still fit in with the rest of the room which is all courtesy of Walmart.
