Typical Sauder product. Not fine furniture, but looks good a decent price. Recently ordered and received a second night stand to finish off the bedroom. Looks good.
I really like Sauder furniture as it looks good, is well-made, and inexpensive. About 5 years ago, I picked up a Sauder early American design nightstand in WalMart. When we moved, I had more room and needed another nightstand to match the previous purchase. I could not find a perfect match in the store or online. So finally, I settled for this one that matches the color and is a very similar design. The only significant difference is that it is a half-inch shorter and a little narrower, but that is fine with me as the small space didn't allow for one the same size as the first purchase. The drawer is on the bottom where the earlier one was at the top. Because the bedroom decor is very eclectic, that was of no concern to me. I'm quite pleased as this is a guest bedroom most often used by my two teen-aged granchildren, that like to read in bed. There's room for their books in the cubby hole.
Very simple to put together, nice wood, color is beautiful. I would like a little bit more larger, but I love it.
Great experience! Shipping was fast, very well packed, nothing damaged, easy to understand instructions. I assembled this nightstand in an about two hours without any problems (I am a woman). All holes drilled on the right places, just pay attention. Nice, sturdy nightstand, drawer sliding easily. My son loves it.
This nightstand is very solid and looks great where it is I am thinking about getting the same one for my Mom because she loves it also.
I am very happy with the nightstand and it looks great. It matches my Entertainment Center Credenza and is used to place my sound receiver on.
The instructions were not exactly clear. I didn't put it together but a friend did and he got it all together with only the back piece to go and it didn't fit. He took it home and did get it together. It's very nice looking and sturdy. Goes well in my bedroom with the other furniture. Would buy it again.
This is the second and LAST time I will purchase from Sauder. All their furniture seems to have to be put together; and the instructions stink!! Some are just pictures without any written instructions. Also, about 2/3rds of the pieces are not marked. Along with the other Sauder product I purchased ( a desk and hutch) all three pieces of furniture were initially put together backwards or upside down. The hutch fell apart and I had to add additional screws and glue to make it hold. And, they always include these CHEAP dowels to hold it all together and FLIMSY back boards that have to be nailed by someone with really tiny fingers, like 2" long fingers. No matter what, the items always wobble too. It took me TWO hours to put this OAK lamp stand together. The wife walks in and her only comment was that it looked darker than the on-line pictures.
It looks very nice once it is put together. The boards were not labeled so it took me a while to figure it out. Also it was missing the side piece to the handle so I had to go buy a new handle for it. Would have gave it more stars if it wasnt for the missing piece
I have two nitestands for about 7 close to 8 years now! The only two down fall i have with this stand is both mine have done what it shows in picture plus the back is not very strong or really big enough to cover the back other then that i love them! The top is hard wood the sodes are not as u can see in picture they are made of partical board!
