The shelf has a substantial weight to it - very sturdy when my 9-month old pulls himself up on it. Very easy assembly and holds lots of books.
I built it in 1 hour myself. Good quality wood, paint doesn't peel off, very heavy, stable enough. Fits all my sons books. Matches his blue room but can match any green or red colors in any room.
I got this for my 4 yr. olds room. It was so easy to assemble. It took me about 15 min. (I am not good at putting things together)It is the perfect size and can hold many books. The colors were perfect and hopefully he can use it for many years. It is great for toddlers and up. I had this shipped to the store and saved $14.00 for shipping. It was not a large box and fit easily in my trunk.
The KidKraft Puzzle Bookshelf is absolutely beautiful - the paint is bright and shiny and the design is so cute! It is perfect for a child's room or family room. The bookshelf is also very sturdy - my 23 pound grandson climbs and pulls on it, but has never caused the bookcase to topple or even shake. Initially it may seem expensive for a relatively small bookcase, but it will be in our family for many years to come.
We have no complaints it serves it's purpose.
Excellent and high quality. My 3 year old thinks it's an awesome addition to his bedroom, and it can be used to display many things as well as a ton of books. We only used the included wrench for fear of over tightening and took about 37 minutes from start to finish.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT BESIDES BEING REALLY EASY TO BUILD, IS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP IT IN THE ACTUAL COLOR SCHEME SHOWN ONLINE. YOU CAN CHOOSE WHICH COLOR YOU WANT TO DISPLAY FIRST. I EVEN PURPOSELY MISMATCHED THE COLOR SCREWS FOR A LITTLE MORE CREATIVITY! A KEY NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THE SIDES FIRST BEFORE SCREWING IN THE BOTTOM SHELVING FOR EACH COLOR PIECE! ALSO, MAYBE PUT A BLANKET ON THE FLOOR TO USE TO BUILD THE BOOKSHELF BC I DIDN'T AND FOUND THAT WHEN SLIDING IT UP TO STAND, IT SCRATCHES THE WOOD ON THE SIDE AND A BIT OF COLOR PEELED OFF. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANY PARENT LOOKING FOR A LITTLE MORE ORGANIZATION OF BOOKS OR EVEN TOYS FOR THEIR TODDLERS! AWESOME PRODUCT!
I ordered this bookshelf after my first order with another company wouldn't make it in time for Christmas. I received it within three days and it was extremely easy to assemble and too cute! My daughter is 3, and it is the perfect height and size for her to get her books and put other toys on it. I am so glad I went with this item!
We purchased this item for our grandson's 3rd birthday. It was easy to assemble, looked like the photos, and seemed very sturdy. Our grandson loved it because it looked like a giant puzzle. The bookshelf may have been a little pricey, but overall we were very pleased and would recommend this item.
Purchased this for my two year old. The setup is quick and simple. For a child's bookshelf, i only wish for more stability. The two stacked shelves wobble. Other than that, the colors are perfect and the spacing each shelf provides is quite satisfactory.
