I bought this rack mostly to hang clothes to dry in the sun to save on electric bill. I have an older one (thrift store find) that I keep in the backyard for the same purpose. I thought I was going to do the same with this one, but it looks so nice that I've decided to keep it in my bedroom to hang clothes when I'm not using it for its primary purpose. I bought a similar rack from Walmart that I had to return promptly because it was light and looked cheap. This doesn't look cheap at all. It can complement any decor. However, I've only owned it for a few days so I can't speak for it's durability (rust etc.). We'll see if it withstands the different temperatures since I'll be using it both outdoors and indoors.
I bought three of these to use to display merchandise at a craft show. They totally exceeded my expectations. The price was so low that I feared they would be cheap and flimsy, but they are sturdy and looked great. I got a lot of compliments on the fixtures and many questions asking me where I got them, plus disbelief when I told them the price! The best part is how quickly and easily they can be assembled and disassembled. I keep my products displayed on them in my studio and then I can easily disassemble them to take them to a show!
this is a great product for the money, we use it for drying clothes before we put them in the closet. It was super easy to put up and in the week I've had it, it has worked well, no fall overs
We got this garment rack a few days ago...put it together quickly...it looks good and seems sturdy. We left the wheels off, as we don't need to roll it anywhere. So far, so good. We just started using it, but as far as we can tell, it's a great product at a great price!
The rack was everything I needed. Sturdy and a good value. Package was delivered on time and in good condition as well. Thanks Walmart
I was very pleased with this rack. I was able to put together easily. I have very hard time with my hands, but this was so simple that I did it myself.
Easy to assemble, does what its supposed to and the price is right. Yes, it can tip over, so just be careful and you're alright.
Not good it falls over when the clothes is on it.
With the nice impression about another Neu Home household product I bought five years ago, this time among numerous brands and styles of garment racks I chose this one. I online ordered two. The web instruction mentioned "double ring" patent on this rack, but I didn't really understand what that meant. Until I was assembling it and encountered the unbelievable problem when trying to connect the chrome vertical bars to the black vertical bars, I realized what the "double ring" meant. Unlike the standard design, the clip to connect the upper and lower vertical bars is with a shallow double-ring slots on the chrom bar. However, the slots are so shallow and the chrome bar is a metal thing that doesn't have any capacity to be pressed inwards, so that the clip is impossible to clip on at all. Really don't understand how such a stupid design could pass the test, even be patented and manufactured. Unbelievable!!! No doubt, they were returned right away. Sad thing. It wasted my time to place the order, wait it, go to the store to pick up, and bring home to unpack, assemble ...... then brought to the store to line up for return and explained the return reason to the Customer Service staff. Fairly say, Neu Home and Wal-Mart should compensate me for my such loss.
Product broke after two months of use, and even during the two months, you better not move it. The thing tips easily (fell over several times, finally I had to prop it against a wall). The cheap plastic caster bars break easily. Of course any "adjustable" garment rack is a diaster. The locking mechanism to hold the poles breaks almost without provocation. I have a 20-year old garment rack which is also adjustable, sharing that same problem. Better to buy a garment rack that folds or is not adjustable. Just not this one. The design is good. But they really need to rethink the construction and fix the tipping problem, and don't make it adjustable. Then, charge more. Worth it, if it's stable! You get what you pay for. Here, you get a bad deal.
