As many before have stated. You should expect some complications along the way while constructing this set. But if you consider the amount of pieces to this set this is no surprise. All suggestions by other reviews helped me so much along the way, so my best suggestion is to read as many reviews as you can for this play set, as you wait for it to be shipped as I did. Doing that helped me to be prepared ahead of time and gave some great points about things like 'expect instructions to be slightly off' 'don't over tighten anything' 'be sure to seal the wood as soon as possible' 'compare written instructions with the pictures often' 'don't be in a hurry' 'inventory all steps from the begining' 'be on level ground' and many other points. About the only pre-warning I did not find in any other reviews I read was to expect inferior hardware with the bolts and barrel nuts quite often. Many of these barrel nuts had rough burrs inside of them or poor threading on the bolts. And fairly often I found myself almost cross threading a nut and spending time practally re-tapping the threads before being able to assemble the pieces. All in all, this is a well designed play set at a great price. It has many features that will keep kids entertained. But in being that, this means many intricate details that will take a lot of time and effort in building each part of those features. As long as you expect this in advance you should be quite happy with the money, the time and the effort you put into the Atlantis. I am sure your children will be, and that really is the bottom line.
I bought this for my son on his 4th birthday. He absolutely loves it and I can't wait to see his imagination soar as he's playing pirates, looking for dinosaurs and going down the "super speed slide"! As a single mother, I spend hours researching what would be the best and most affordable for my budget. I had initially tried to purchase this same set through walmart.com because it was cheaper. However, it was not in stock (and we would have had to pick it up from the store). They also could not tell me when it would be in stock. I received a coupon from Backyard Discovery's mailing list and it made the play set cheaper than what I would have paid at Wal-Mart. The fact that it was then delivered to my home was a bonus too! Myself, my mother and a friend of hers put this play set together. Thanks to the instructions and similar minds, we only had to redo about 3 pieces that were initially put on backwards. I was worried at first that it would be difficult to do without a strong (or tall man). But we completed the project in a day and a half. It probably could have been done in 1 day, but we couldn't build in the dark. We reveled in the accomplishment of completing the project on our own and in a short time frame. Thank you Backyard Discovery for a great play set that is easy to build, no matter your gender or age and that it is also affordable and sturdy!

The swingset is really nice. My grandkids love it. The delivery people called us and told us what day they would be delivering it, and then called us a half hour away from our home. They unloaded it right where we wanted them to One thing, after looking at all the parts my husband and son didn't want to tackle the job. We did end up hiring a person I believe there's a number on the box. It took one person seven hours to put it together.
We are so grateful to the reviews prior to our purchase from those who acquired this product and provided assembly advise and informative reviews. There were some areas in the directions that were a bit confusing but aside from that it was assembled in the expected time interval. Our grandson plays on it all the time - he is 5 years old and it is just the right size. We purchased an additional bucket seat for our younger grandsons and will use the second swing when they are old enough. Great product for the money.
Decent. Instructions can be tough to follow but manageable. Time consuming def need two people to build or move. Some boards came warped or not drilled and coded on all sides. Otherwise not bad. Kids love it
Two people and two days to put together and those stake don't exactly slide into the Arizona ground but the kids love it. may need to stain or weather seal it once a year but I hope to have it for at least 5yr.
Nice playset. Daughter loves it. A lot of different hardware to deal with when assembling. Takes longer to assemble than says. But we are happy with the purchase so far.
I'm a little disappointed but my kids love it. Some of the wood slats are thin and split when the set was being put together. It also squeaks and moves as the kids swing (It is mounted in the ground with all 6 spikes). I've added WD40, but still have the issue. This doesn't seem to bother my kids, as they've been asking for a play set for a year. I do like that additional accessories can be purchased for it. The bucket swing and chalkboard have been added to ours.
