I make this for all kids and grandkids . They will have them for years Been making them for over 35 years . They are still nice and They are personalized so they have them for life.
Love Bucilla Felt Applique Stocking Kits. All my grandchildren have the finished product hanging from their mantels awaiting Santa's arrival every Christmas!
The quality and detail of the Bucilla stocking kit has improved over the years. I make them (so far 48) as New baby gifts or for those needing a special Early Christmas Gift. It is a good idea to LINE the front of the stocking with a panel to avoid snagging the stitches. I also add the person's Birthdate, with time, weight, length and Full Name on the back of the stocking before attaching to front.
This is a wonderful product and I received GREAT service.
I have completed four Felt and Embroidered Christmas Stockings for the youngest members of our family. My teen-aged grandsons each want one so I have found three kits that fit their personalities. One should find a theme for almost anyone! Some costs are extremely high so it takes time to search for affordable kits. I have also completed several felt ornaments. Everything I have done has need wonderful! The colors are vivid! I have come up short on embroidery floss a few times and some needles have been rusted and/or bent. Instructions are relatively easy to follow. If one follows them carefully, there should be no problem. I have given everything I've made as gifts and they have received RAVE reviews!!
Bucilla Christmas stocking kits are great products. I've made one for each of my grandchildren -- this will be #25 for me.

I have purchased one of these stockings for every family member. My family loves that I am able to make these homemade stockings instead of just getting a store bought one. Although I haven't finished this one yet......the kits comes with easy to follow instructions and are easy to complete. Plus the end result is beautiful. THey hold lots of goodies to and are very durable.
Of course, I have not even started this project yet. (I like to do these in the winter). However, it looks beautifully made, as always. I have always preferred this brand when making a stocking.
I bought this kit for my son (8 mos). I made both mine and my husbands stockings using these kits and I wanted his to match the theme. I didn't realize how much work it required! There is A LOT of beading and sequincing to do on it. The stamped pieces are bigger than what is patterned so you kind of have to improvise some (this seems to be consistent with all the kits i have used). The picture shows silver accents but what you actually get is blue and grey thread. And 30 dollars for a stocking that takes so much time to put together yourself is not really a value in my eyes. BUT, I gave it four stars because it does turn out beautiful and I do get a lot of compliments and I know it will last at least until he moves out of the house. Putting so much time, effort, and money into something like this for my son and knowing it is going to last b/c I made it and it turning out like it does is worth it to me.
