This is a great tool for stamping multiple times on your cardstock. Multiple stamping allows you to intensify the color saturation for the stamp you are using. The precision press also can be used with any stamp thickness. With the gridlines, you can easily design your own cards or stamp projects. The strong magnets hold your stock so you can easily place enough ink when using a stamp with multiple colors. This tool is definately recommended.
This is a nice stamp press. The guides are SO HELPFUL! It can accommodate all different size stamps. The stamp will put your ink in the EXACT place you stamp it. If your stamp doesn't have enough ink on it, you can re-ink it and stamp the same card and it will be lined up perfectly! This means fewer wasted cards! It doesn't have a hinge, it is held together with magnets. The lack of a hinge is great, it leaves more room and a wider area to work with. Very pleased with this press!
Hobby precision stamp press works wonderfully. I am able to create stamped scenes and re-ink stamps without the guess work! Each application is perfectly precise.
The Hello Hobby Advanced Precision Stamp Press is a must have tool if you are wanting to make your projects look polished and professional! I like that the press will accommodate any thickness of stamp. All you have to do is either use the enclosed mat for thinner stamps or remove it for thicker stamps. This press takes out the guesswork of whether or not your stamp will be evenly placed onto your cards, tags etc. It is so easy to use. It would be nice to have some instructions included with the kit for us amateurs but a quick search online brought up some good tutorials. I highly recommend this product!
This is a stamp press that can use any size stamp. It has a plastic cover that ha's holes which fits over pegs.( no hinges). it also comes with two magnets. The back has rubber on the corners to keep stationary while stamping. This has a rubber graphed mat to line up project and press against. There is no ink included. I highly recommend.
Long boring story short, I helped make a lot of holiday cards for a large office of employees. I've used different stamping platforms. At first I thought "Who cares? Whatever works"...but you end up wasting cards, paper and ink when stamping goes sideways and all wrong. I had to learn to make very professional (and personalized) cards for a lot of people. It's all a blur now. I just finished up the last 25 cards using this Hello Hobby stamping platform precision stamping thingy. It was only $20. It works so good! It's one of the cheapest ones out there that is extremely well made. The super expensive Misti is not anything I'm going to invest in. Just about any that are halfway ok seem way over priced. This Hello Hobby gizmo looked almost identical to another brand name one but this one is a lot cheaper. That is why I took a chance to see if it would make a difference or be more useful than what I had been borrowing. If not, I would have returned it. Let me get right to the point; this stamping platform is a luxury. It feels solid, too. The two round magnets that come with it give a very strong hold. The entire gadget is pretty solid, feels solid and the only way you'll mess up with stamping is if you throw this gadget across the room and it smashes into a wall. Remove the top layer and put your ink on the stamp over and over many times. No problem. Accidentally move the stamping platform or bump it, with your card or paper in it, won't matter. The magnets are strong holding. There are no cheap springs to press down on. It's rubber cushion. Your card or paper can stick out of the platform. For $20 I don't have to use it regularly. I've learned a lot about card making, and by someone who makes first class, beautiful, charming, lovely greeting cards. There's a little more to it than I first thought, at least for the level we were expected to deliver. In Nov I hit an early sale on a 9 inch manual die cutting machine with so many extras around $78. It folds up, too. I purchased about 7 of my own metal die cuts, 6 various stamp sets of my own and learned how to make the most out of a reasonable amount of supplies while not going crazy with buying so much stuff for card making. Compared to many, I have very little invested into this and you can do a lot with a limited setup, patiently comparison shopping around, having your game plan, and being very organized (I was taught well by a pro). This stamping platform was a breath of fresh air. Made stamping faster, too. There are so many advantages to this gadget as opposed to other ones out there and the price was the deal maker. Made me not dread the stamping parts. I never thought I would be doing this kind of thing. At least I didn't have to break the bank. This stamping gizmo made me not hate card making.
Design and print your own stationery and cards with the Hello Hobbyist press. Precise grid keeps all your work in alignment, great for smaller prints.
I have never used a stamp press before so thought I would give this a try. It is taking me a bit of time in learning to use it. The box says that it works with any stamp thickness, I think you can only use unmounted stamps and ones which are affixed to wood won't work. The box says that there are 5 pieces, they count the 2 magnets as 2 of the pieces. The pieces are not labeled I think that if they were it might help. There is a thin foamy piece that has the lines and numbers printed on it and I can't find where it is mentioned in the instructions and when to use it. There are 3 steps for the instructions that are printed on the back of the box with 3 pictures. The instructions are 1. (I guess this is when you put the foamy piece on the base, before placing the project on the base?). Position project using the alignment pegs on the base & secure the project with magnets. 2. (I guess this is where you position the stamp to where you want it on your project before affixing it to the acrylic?). Place the stamp & acrylic block on alignment pegs & press down to adhere the stamp to the acrylic block. 3. Remove the acrylic block, apply ink & stamp the project. It has been trial and error for me to get the hang of it. I get the idea of what I am trying to do, just need to keep practicing. It seems that this could be a great help in producing several of the same cards.
i like everything about it except for the chip. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse
I haven't used it yet. I noticed when I opened it up the mat inside near the 5”mark is damaged. A hole or dent and looks like the magnet caused it.
