The colors in this little paint set are pretty. The pallet is perfect for little hands and we had a lot of fun creating works of art. Cleanup was A breeze.
This small kit puts out really good colors for what they are. Our kids have had fun with this. Seems well made and put out great color. I recommend this to anyone who love painting.
This item was very easy to use. It didnt crack or become pastey when water was added. It a great product for a beginner to use or for a school student. Had many hours enjoying the calm paining with water colors this summer. Fantastic
This is some pretty good quality paint, better than I've had before anyway. My daughter really enjoys this set, we use the primary colors and in separate container to mix so she can make different colors, also a good learning tool for a young child to see how to physically mix different colors to come up with new ones. The container is pretty durable, there's a good bit of each color of paint which is a nice change from other sets, and the brush is thicker and heavier than most which is great for a young child because my daughter can be pretty rough on paint brushes. I definitely recommend this set
This Watercolor pain cakes with brush set is easy to use and the colors are nice a vibrant. The colors take a bit of water to get them to the right viscosity for painting but not so much that you'll have to worry about drowning the paint in water. The brush has a nice texture to it and it makes nice stroke marks.
Water colors is my daughters new favorite craft. She loved having all her colors right there for her. I loved that I simply had to dump a cup of water afterwards and close the lid. The colors are bright enough and easily come off tray.
Our tweens helped their 3-year-old cousin paint with this set and were able to compare it to the watercolor sets they typically use from Crayola. They said it takes more water to activate it than their usual sets and that if you get it on your fingers it feels waxy. That said, the three-year-old thoroughly enjoyed the painting session and created a masterpiece that was beautiful in color and design. I like the big color wells in the set and the paintbrush is a nice, larger size for little ones.
Does what it should, the paint comes out nice and even and you can use water to lighten them depending on what your adding color too. Brush thickness is a preference. But the one it comes with works pretty well.
I got a set of these paints for my five year old son to use and to keep him busy for a minute while I get stuff done. It comes in a nice case but it has a thing for hanging on the shelves made into it that does not come off. The paint brush is definitely for young kids. It has no definition to it and the bristles keep falling out of it but the handle is thick and easy to grip and with such a thick tip it does not matter which way you hold it. The color cakes themselves are okay. It has the primary colors red, orange, yellow, green, and blue, There is a decent amount of paint in each one. The actual cakes are very vibrant indeed, but not on paper. I used them myself first to test them out and to make sure that they would wash off hands and furniture easily, which they do, but I could find no way to get vibrant colors on the paper. Maybe if you use them to color something darker than just a piece of paper like I used it might be more vibrant. The colors don't mix well on the paper but they do mix well by rubbing the brush in more than one color, but then it gets a smear of different colored paint on each color. The smear wipes off easily, but I can't see a kid wiping it away, but I can't see that a kid would really care anyway. I did really enjoy playing with these and not trying to paint perfect since this type of paint and paint brush really would let you. If I was a little more serious about painting with these I would definitely get different brushes to go with the paints. My son likes to use them to paint the smaller boxes I get from deliveries and also just on computer paper. He actually doesn't make too much of a mess with these since they are in a nice little case and there is not to much to them and he can make any color he likes with the colors included. The paint dries pretty quickly, depending on how much water you use, and is easy to help dry by blotting with a paper towel as I usually have to do for my son. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone who just wants to play around with paints for fun or to anyone who wants to kid their kids busy for a little bit.
I'm not sure why this kit was so limited. About one or two pictures is all it will color. I think the shipping hurt it, as the paint dislodged from the bottom of the trays. Still worked when adding water, but it was pretty much a one-time paint project. This should be sold as a sample, like maybe a dollar store kit. Then a person could judge if they wanted to invest in one with more colors and more paint.
