Stitched my dst file nicely using the 4x4 hoop. It allowed me to decrease size to fit my mask, which I adjusted on the screen. My thread broke several times but I just adjusted stitches back about 7 stitches to keep it solid. This was my first project, try larger hoop next. I am happy with performance
I use this for added embellishment to my quilts. I add a Prayer to the center of table runners...my friends Love this touch!!!
I love my Singer embroidery machine! I highly recommend it for a beginner. It's easy to use and easy to understand. I did buy embroidery software for it because as I embroidered more I wanted to be able to do more and the machine on its own didn't do that. Great value for the price.
I love my machine. My only problem/disappointment is that the embroidery patterns shown do not have thread numbers. It would have helped to have a class on this machine. I did get some individual instruction.
Keeps jamming for no reason. Keeps breaking bobbins. The first one I had lasted 2 months kept stopping for no reason. They gave me another one, this one at least runs but still very aggravating. My first experience with embroidery machine so don't know if all are the same.
I find it easy to center a project (wording) due to the outline tracing prior to actually embroidering. Lever on hoop has crack with minimal pressure as I "float" 99% of my projects.
I was not happy with the machine. I owned a XL400 before buying the Superb. The Singer machines were a big disappointment to me. It seems the quality of the Singer products are not at all as they used to be. I do say, I liked the sewing area. The price of the machine was very affordable but the operation of the machine, the quality of the stitches were just not there. I am sorry to give such a negative review of a product that was part of my life as a child. My family would not have had any other machine but a Singer. Maybe one day when the bugs are worked out of the machines, I will be able to purchase another.
Bought the machine new and I used it off and on. The machine had problems right off the bat and then completely quit working. It went into the shop for repair after only a month. Shop had it for 2 months and when I got it back it still didn't work. It would turn on but as soon as you pushed start it would complete turn off. Store gave me another one and guess what problems with this one too. Would break needles, had tension problems, thread cutter stop working and would rip projects. Then finally stopped picking up the bobbin thread all together. I have spent so much money on thread, new bobbin cases, fabric and stabilizer it's crazy and not to mention how much of my time I wasted on these machines. Store finally offered me full trade in credit and I bought a husqvarna and sold it. Do not buy the EM200 if you value your time and money.
Bought first machine new, used it a month. Constantly broke needles, tangled thread and overheated. Then it just started randomly shutting off in the middle of projects. Wasted time, fabric, stabilizer and thread. Had it in a warranty shop, took 2 months to get back. Plugged it in and same problems. Store traded me for their used display model, which I should have been compensated in some way because I purchased a new machine and then was giving a used one. This second machine now has a lot of the same problems. Thread cutter doesn't work and it's ruined a bunch of my projects. Thread tension sucks and the thread is always getting tangled in the bobbin area. I have to constantly lift up my hoop in the middle of projects to check the thread or it will tangle so bad it sucks my fabric in. Don't want to pay to have it shipped 130 miles away for repair, as per the warranty, and then have it take 2 months to get back. Just been dealing with it and I have to babysit it all the time. Tons of other people complaining about this machine online also.
I have had this machine a little less then a year and its been in and out of the shop since I bought it. Same error jam thread. So now I have a VERY expensive paperweight. Money down the drain.
