So far I have only used it twice, but I am very happy. I had 2 Singer machines prior to this that broke after little use. I borrowed my neighbor's Brother machine that was the $85 one that Walmart also sells and thought it seemed so much more dependable and solid than the Singers. I bought this one because it also came with a light built in and a threader feature. Happy so far.
I love this machine! So far everything works great and I've had no complaints. For everything that is included with this machine, it's a great price for all of the extras you get. I have used both the straight sewing foot and the zipper foot and they both worked amazingly well! For my first sewing machine and my first project (a hidden zipper pillow cover) everything turned out wonderfully, and the best part is, the bobbin comes pre-spun, a definite plus. Once you get used to auto thread for the needle, it's a breeze and a really cool feature that I love as well. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase so far. I've only had it less than a month, so we'll see how it goes, but so far it's perfect!
I bought this machine hoping that it would be suitable for a beginner and boy did it ever. I had never threaded a sewing machine before and the instructions were very easy to follow and it's nice that they are written in numbered order on the machine itself. I had it threaded in about 10 minutes on my very first try ever threading. I played around with some scrap material and about twenty minutes later I was hemming jeans. Perfect machine for anyone. You won't regret this purchase.
I just got this machine it was quickly delivered to my home for. 97¢ It is extremely easy to thread I love the self thread part. I have made 10 xmas stockings already and it has no problem with multi layers of material. very easy to change out stitch patterns. A simple machine with lots of stitch options and well worth what I paid. lite and easy to move. I have a very expensive n heavy New Home and it wasnt working right for me to have it fixed was more then to have bought this. so less my time, fuel, and travel I decided on this one n I am more then happy.
I just love this machine! Easy to use, lightweight & the Butterflies are the most wonderful! My favorite is the needle threader!
I'm a beginner and i really like this machine. Love the automatic needle threader! This is so much lighter than my parent's sewing machine too. I had a lot of issues at first because my stitch width/ length were not correct and i ended up with a ball of thread. if i had known to adjust it, i wouldn't have had that issue. great for the price and its also really cute. i like the butterflies.
I live in Arizona and bought this sewing machine, selected by my niece in Alabama II was so impressed with the efficiency and speed in which this machine was delivered to my niece. She absolutely loves the machine. She has 4 little one and it will come in handy so she can make some much needed garments. Thank you Walmart for the great care in which you handled this order.
Has worked great right out of the box! Very lightweight compared to my old machine.
I finally got the machine set up - after getting a "sewing room" ready. It took a while to figure out how to thread it - I thought the diagrams and instructions were a little difficult to understand - but once I got it threaded it took right off. I've only made a couple of doggie toys with it so far - but it seems to work very well - especially for such an inexpensive machine. I'm looking forward to starting to sew again - which I haven't done for many years. I think it's a very good buy for the price.
I bought this machine because I just wanted a simple machine to do mending and simple sewing projects. With 37 stitches and some of the other special features I expected it to be a perfect fit. Loved it until I tried to do a simple basic basting stitch and discovered that you can't with this machine. I thought that was basic sewing machine 101. Any basting has to be done by hand, which is time consuming and not always as accurate as with a machine. Very disappointed with that but otherwise this is a good little lightweight, portable machine that is very easy to use.
