I create doilies and this is the best thread out there. It works up beautifully and blocks extremely well. I have a huge stash of this thread in every available color and will continue to use it as long as it continues to exist.
Aunt Lydia's crochet cotton is a little more course than some other crochet threads but is a good thread, doesn't ravel, works well, washes well.
Store was out of the brand I normally use, so ordered this and I am very happy with this alternative. I would buy it again
Vibrant color, strong, yet soft and supple. I really enjoyed using this in my latest doily projects.
Love this color! It was on the expensive side for crochet thread, but if you want the color you have to order it and pay the price. It was free shipping though so I suppose you could count the extra price as a small S & H charge. The thread itself is the usual cotton size 10 thread.
Aunt Lydia is the same great quality today as it always has been. Consistent quality throughout the years and going strong
I just received my purchase of Aunt Lydia's Crochet Threads and I love them all. The colors are beautiful. They are all easy to crochet with and the texture is soft. I bought the Delft, Orchid Pink, Spring Green, and Taupe. I have begun making doilies and bookmarks for Christmas!
I went looking for the color Lemon Yellow i had started a Dollie for my granddaughter for Christmas and ran out of thread. But i thought this looked close enough but it wasn't wished they gave you a better chose of colors. But i have found out that crocheting is a thing of the past, you can't find any different colors any more.
Very serviceable and well-behaved cotton thread in plenty of colors to satisfy most. I've used nearly every brand of cotton crochet thread available and you really can't beat the quality of RedHeart cotton for the price point, especially for big projects like wedding dresses or matelasse coverlets. Good stitch definition without being too ropey, nice finish, resists fuzzing, pilling and breakage well, very good yardage.
Aunt Lydia's is a good all purpose crochet thread. Colors are consistent, so dye lot is not an issue. Thread does have a habit of being thinner in some places, thicker in others. Some balls do have at least one knot. That being said, Aunt Lydias is flexible and blocks beautifully, unlike some threads. So of the three commonly available brands, Aunt Lydias is one of two that I use regularly for fine thread crochet. Yes, I do recommend Aunt Lydia's
