I have just recently learned to crochet doilies. I have used the red heart worsted weight yarns to crochet several afghans(blankets), but had never tryed to make a doily? My mom bought some red heart 100% mercerized cotton crochet thread ( Sz 10) for me and loaned me a few doily patterns. I learned quickly and bought other brands of the mercerized cotton thread in order to get a varity of different colors? I have found that the Wal-mart's Red Heart Mercerized Thread doesn't have thin and/or frayed spots in it like some other brands do? It is also thick and strong yet makes a delicate-looking doily? I would really recommend this excellent crochet/knitting product to everybody? Sincerely, Tammy M.

I bought a lot of this to make a filet crochet shawl. I have never filet crocheted before, but have used crochet cotton to tat in the past. This thread is smooth, doesn't split, and I have yet to get a knot anywhere. No twisting either. My only wish is that it came in balls with more yardage... so I wouldn't have to buy multiples of the smaller one.
this is used with our supplies to make lap quilts. It's specific need is to make the tie for the prayer tie that people tie when praying. Red being the symbol of Jesus Christ's blood shed for you and for me is ever so more important to be shown to others and share this good news to others also.
