I use it for barbecue and mostly to fry and cook foods that smell inside the home, on the side burner. It is great to be able to avoid smell inside the home. The heat the three burners of the grill produce is perfect, it heats enough for a quick grilling. The one thing that is kind of weak, is the support for the heating plates. I needed to buy a new grill because that support broke, rusted and I could not place the heating plate in the correct position.
I either lost or it was not in the box, several items that were needed to get cookin. They immediately responded and have sent me the missing items. Its refreshing in these times to know there is actual customer support. I am adding it to cap off my different types of Cookers.
Perfect size grill. It is exactly what I was looking for.The side burner is a big plus.
It's the only gas grill that you can add a side box to and use as a smoker. Love it! First one lasted 10+ years and finally decided it's time or a new one.
I am 30+ year Executive Chef and this is my Grill of Choice, it's dependable, has excellent even heat disbursement and cooks everything I throw on it. From roasted vegetables and pineapple halves, to fresh mahi-mahi and t-bones. This grill is a hidden gem! By this grill without fear! Weber Who? Save your high price, it's the cook that makes the grill amazing! And this grill has done me right for years!
I had a webber that fill apart in 7 years, this grill looks to be mode out of good steel, and easy to replace parts, I will see how it goes, cooks great , can do slow cooking by tuning burners off, one burn does about 225, low snd slow for ribs,
My last inexpensive grill only lasted 20 months in the Southwest Florida humidity. After many weeks of research I decided on this CharGriller model. I think I made a good choice. The grill arrived on time and packaged extremely well. Even with the great packaging one smoke stack was slightly bent at the top, but was easy enough to straighten by hand. Assembly was easy, but I spent about three hours doing so because I coated everything with vegetable oil as I went, including screws in the hope that this grill will last a long time. I've only used it twice so far but this grill is a pleasure to use. It heats up quickly and evenly. One reviewer commented on having to clean the bottom of the barrel, I did that after the second use and found it to be very easy because there is so much room in there to work and everything drops right into the drip pan. As I said, so far I love this grill and would buy it again.
I grill for one to two people at a time, no problems with temperature control or major flare ups. There is a small issue when use'ing the side burner. Due to the grate being so high any wind blows the burner out. Fix: lower grate or a wind screen around the burner.
Getting ready to buy my fourth grill of this kind. My first one was a dual fuel, but I found out temperature control was an issue on the charcoal side during smoking, so for the next two grills I bought the gas grill and attached the offset smoker to it. I call it my frankengrill and it works like a charm. Temperature control on the gas side is amazing. Unfortunately, living in Florida makes the guts rust fairly quickly. The last one I bought is 3 years old and have had to replace the burners, heat plates, and now the porcelain grates,
Bottom line for the money you can't be a good luck finding it people are starting to catch on better quality than anything else sold in the box stores
