Does a great job of shaping my dog's nails, my primary reason for buying, but the uses are only limited by imagination, the onboard collet lock is one great idea as well!
I have always used a dremel tool to repair fiberglass boats. I decided to try this one out and was quite surprised at the power it has. On low speed it chews right through the fiberglass without loading down and I like that. The price was very good and the unit seems to be built strong.
I would say this is one of the best tools I have used. I bought my first from Home Depot and had it for several years with an extreme use Loved it so much I wanted another just like it for a replacement. I bought it from Walmart because of the price and ease of purchase. Thanks Walmart.
I work as a welder during the day, When it comes to my hobby of carving the Black & Decker RTX three speed has been a tool I would tell anyone "It's worth buying" As well as the good price!
I was impressed with this product. I used to own a Dremel and considered buying another but the price made me hesitate so I began looking for similar items and came across this tool. It is exactly what I needed at a much better price and my dremel accessories work great with it as well so I don't have to buy new to fit.
So far, I've used this tool to cut and sand fiberglass and .025 aluminum and it's works like a champ. Not much vibration during use as compared to haborfreight's Chicago Electric don't waste your time with that. I really like the unique collect lock so the rotary bits can be changed out w/o using the little wrench that usually comes with the tool. It has a comfortable handle that makes it easy to control. This is a great tool for the price
I've bought a harbor freight model seen here, http://www.harborfreight.com/power-tools/rotary-tools/80-piece-rotary-tool-kit-97626.html and it would stop while using it like it didn't have enough power. I borrowed my neighbors Dremel and it worked well but it only had the one speed. This Black and Decker works just as good as or eveb better then the Dremel and has more speeds. It fits different size bits. I used the 1/8" I was using with the Dremel but all of the bits I bought with the cheapo harbor freight model should fit also even though I believe they are 3/32". I am really happy with this purchase and Black and Decker is a well known name.
I have used this tool quite a bit since receiving it. It has a tremendous amount of power so for smaller projects, and more precision work you will want to use slower speeds. All the Dremel bits I have work flawlessly with this tool. In a nutshell, This tool is an excellent value, and I would highly recommend it.
This is my second one. I burned the last one out after a couple years of heavy use. There are better ones out there, but nothing near this price. I consider this an excellent value.
sturdy tool with tons of power. collet is easy to use and has a locking lever to make it easy to change tools. speed range seems adaquate. only comes w/ 1/8" collett and very few accessories. good price and you can buy the accessories you need pretty cheaply.
