I like using this ratchet in tight places where its hard to turn a regular ratchet.
After using this 3/8" drive ratchet I want the 1/4" drive. I bought my 3/8" from WalMart and expected the 1/4" to be there, NOT. There is one and the model number for that 1/4" drive is 89-961. Hey WalMart get with it! Sell both in a pack or bring on the 1/4". Ron in Oregon
I borrowed this tool from a friend at work. I liked it so much, I bought one myself. I do have one wish for Stanley: There is a steel tip at the end of the handle, could you redesign this ratchet to have a 3/8" socket drive under this tip so the ratchet could be ran with a battery powered tool. I think that would be really awesome too. Thanks Stanley.
I bought my husband this ratchet year's ago for Christmas and he love's it. It's always his go to ratchet. I try to find him the new ratchets for the year. I buy him at least one new one every year for Christmas,he likes getting new tools, but he always goes back to his Stanley. Gonna get him a new Stanley this year. Y'all did great when you made this ratchet. Awesome job...
Very useful tool for those awkward situations. I saw a friend using one and had to get one. Walmart had the best price by far.
I've had this ratchet for about five years now. A friend of a friend showed it to me once and I had to have it. The rotating ability makes this thing unstoppable. When other ratchets get a nut/bolt loose enough to freely go back and forth the ratchet is done, unless you can get in there with your fingers to hold the socket still while you wind back for another engaged turn. This ratchet never sees that problem, as when you get the nut/bolt freely moving you just easily twist the handle back and forth and the nut/bolt will continue to turn out/off (or in/on) all the way to the end. This tool is great for tight spots where you can move the handle very far (like getting to that spark plug in the very back up against the firewall). It's just an all around fantastic tool, very comfortable to use, and affordable. When you need this tool and don't have it you can find yourself in a back situation, but it's cheap enough to buy to have "just in case" though I use it for all of my ratcheting needs. Lifetime warranty is nice, too.
I saw this online and having owned this ratchet for a few years now decided I would review it. This ratchet is awesome, I work in a dealership and literally beat the heck out of this thing every day. Other mechanics have asked me about it because the handle is black now from years of use and there amazed it's not a sn@p on or m@tco tool. I tell em nope it's a Stanley and I bought it from walmart like 3 years ago. I imagine I'll break it eventually but for what like 20 bucks this thing has more than paid for itself.
Very well made, feels like a solid tool in your hand. The soft grip has held up well to daily use and the rotator function comes in handy when you need it. This is my first pick ratchet when working in tight spaces with medium sized fasteners.
My go to ratchet for header installations. I used and abused this ratchet for 10 years before it finally gave up on me. One quick call to Stanley's warranty department and a new replacement in my hands 4 days later! You can't beat their level of customer service!
The product itself deserves a 5 star review; but I need to rate this 1 star so future customers don't get swindled. If this product is being sold by Aye Plus Stuff LLC: rest assured you can find it for at least $10 CHEAPER directly on Home Depots website. Buyer Beware.
