This is a great set of sockets and wrench. Perfect for the car trunk or tool box. Stanley is quality
I bought this set over 20 years ago. It has become the first tool I pull out when doing almost any project around the house, on my truck or on my motorcycle. I like the range of sockets and compact size.
Great bang for the buck. Nice assortment of 1/4 inch SAE and Metric sockets with a 6 inch long 1/4 inch extension and 1/4 inch ratchet and it comes in a nice self contained storage tray. Great addition to your home tool kit or for the mechanic.
Great
Great socket set with nicely polished chrome sockets that really have a professional feel to them. Have bought many Craftsman sockets over the years and the quality just isn't the same as the past. Ratchet is not as precise as some but the price of this socket set is excellent considering you get SAE and Metric deep sockets and also a ratchet for under $20 bucks!
Great product very good price I recommend
I bought the tool set that include the 3/8 ratchet along with the 1/4 and 1/2 ratchets and they are pretty decent for home use and to work in your car. But if you are working professionally as a car and airplane on an everyday these may not be for you, stop being cheap and invest on better tools I would recommend Stanley other premium brands like, Mac tools ( yes Mac tools are owned Stanley for a long time), Proto or Blackhawk, just to name a few or their better tools.
The set itself is fine, but the new packaging (as of April 2017) is horrible. If they at least included a little picture to explain it, that would have helped. I'm attaching two images I made in case anyone else has trouble. You have to use a flat-head screwdriver to push into the little slot where it says, "Push here" on the package (you can't reach the part that needs to get pressed by using just your finger). That moves a thin rectangular panel out of the back, which you can then grab from the other side and remove. Then you can push the socket you need out from the back (push toward the front of the case) to pop it out. So I would recommend the product GIVEN that I now know how to open it.
This socket set will not work properly. After using this seri we tans bought a craftsman set to work with. Cheap is not always descent quality . The direction mechanism would not stay set and would back off causing the wrench to pretty much lock up.
Have not yet used the rachet/socket set yet. Took me about an hour and a half to open the packaging. Sun went down before I could open so did not get a chance to work. Stupidist package I have ever seen. Thought I was going to have to take it back to the store for them to open. I am an old woman and I will NEVER buy another Stanley product again after this tug of war.
