The Holmes® HAWF2030 Twin Window Fan-Manual Thermostat is just right for my needs. It did all that was said about it. The fan works great and is Quiet ....Thanks.mike..
Great fan....great price. Put it in the bedroom window a couple hours before retiring and it feels like the room is air conditioned. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Bought these a month ago to replace older Holmes Window Fans. Not quite as nice as the older fans, but do the job. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I like this fan. It has a dial that you adjust to the approximate temperature that is comfortable for you and the fan turns on and off on its own according to where the dial is set at. It is light weight and easy to pull out of the window and turn around if you want to use it as an exhaust fan. It is quieter than other fans I have owned.
This fan functions well, but I wish it was a three speed fan as low is a bit too fast for the area that it is used in.
I installed this fan backwards to use it as an exhaust fan in our basement game room. It works perfectly. Instead of using its temperature thermostat feature, however, I connected it to a timer to ensure that it goes on intermittently day & night.
This is a fine example of great engineering and design, coupled with excellent controls and light weight ease. But the one I bought on line lasted about month of nightly use.
I was expecting a window fan with reversing motors not a fan that I need to pull out of the window to change the air flow. Will use the fan for as long as my old fan lasts, which is still giving good service after ten good years.
I can't set the temperature. There is no digital display and I have to guess how much to turn the dial. I'm not going to frustrate myself fiddling with an unmarked dial.
I bought two of this product about two months ago, and was very disappointed. One of the fan on each unit failed to operate within the first two weeks of usage. Even after added WD-40 on moving parts; still, no use! There were electrical burn smells coming from the "not-working" fan right after it stop moving. It was immediately unplug and closely examined for any sign of electrical burn, but everything seems to be fine. There was no sign of electrical "burn". Still, the fan fail to operate after plugged back in. Extremely disappointed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
