I'm very pleased with the ease of use and how well this works. Very simple instructions but then it's a no brainer to use so why include detailed instructions. Charges during the day and keeps the camera operating all night and during cloudy days.
This power supply works very well. It is everything they advertised it to be. Extremely happy so far. I've only had them in the field 2 weeks, hope the durability is as advertised also. I would rewcommend and would buy again. Walmart.com had the best price also, plus the $.97 shipping really helped make it a slam dunk deal!
Great product to save battery changes. The camera basically runs off the panels internal rechargeable battery as long as you're sure to place it where it gets sun on most sunny days. The camera generally uses little power, so once fully charged, the solar panel runs the camera for days in case you get a string of nasty weather. My cameras have run for over a year without battery changes while connected to these solar panels that I bought previously.
Have only had 1 week, but batteries are holding charge. Love not having to stick $7.50 worth of batteries in my cameras every month. Just ordered 2 more.
My Moultrie Panoramic Camera using C-Cell Batteries would not work if the batteries even got slightly down from fully charged. Missed many great pics I'm sure. When I got the Solar Panel, the camera has been working perfect, taking great night shots every time! Excellent pics and the camera is always powered up. Hope the panel lasts through harsh Colorado weather is all.....price and quality = A Grade .... will recommend it to my son when he gets a wildlife camera!
I used this product with my I-60 Game camera. The solar panel fits well with this model. At first I didn't have the panel set at the best position. I found that setting the camera directly south gave me plenty of solar power. The camera is running on solar power now and I didnt need to change the batteries. I get 100+ photos per week. Great product!
My Moultrie P-150 was eating up the 6 C cell batteries every 3 weeks, taking over 100 pictures per day. Not now. This solar power panel is in full sun and keeping an internal charge all day & night with minimal reduction in charge - still taking 100 plus pictures per day. Camera is used for home surveillance. Will pay for itself in 6 or 7 months.
I HAVE FOUND THIS SOLAR PANEL TO BE VERY WELL BUILT, I HAVE NOT HAD ANY OF THE PROUBLEMS THAT OTHER REVIEWERS HAVE HAD. MY CAMERA IS A MOULTRIE GAME SPY 4.0, MY CAMERA USES THE ADAPTER PLUG THAT COMES WITH IT, THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT SIZES DEPENDING ON WHICH CAMERA YOU HAVE. THE PLUG FITS VERY SNUGLY IN THE CAMERA WITH OUT FALLING OUT, THE SECRET TO A TIGHT FIT IS, THE PLUG HAS A RUBBER HOUSEING ON IT. WHEN PLUGING IT IN TO THE CAMERA BODY GIVE IT A SLITE TWIST WHILE FIRMLY PUSHING IT IN. THIS ALLOWS FOR A WATER PROOF FIT . NOW TO THE PANEL IT'S SELF, IT HAS A BUILT IN BATTERY SO THIS MEANS YOU MUST FIRST CHARGE THE BATTERY IN THE PANEL BEFOR CONNECTING IT TO THE CAMERA . I PLACED MY PANEL IN A LAWN CHAIR IN MY YARD TO LET IT GET A FULL CHARGE . PLACE IT IN FULL SUN, TURN THE PANEL ON AND IT WILL BEGEN TO CHARGE, IT TOOK 6 HOURS FOR MINE TO OBTAIN A FULL 100% CHARGE, OUT OF THE BOX IT WAS SHOWING A 79% CHARGE ON THE BATTERY. I'M VERY PLEASED WITH MINE AND I THINK YOU WILL BE ALSO IF YOU USE A LITTLE COMMEN SENCE WHILE SETTING IT UP. HAPPY HUNTING STICK IN TOWNBLUFF TEXAS.
Power for the Moultrie camera [M-990i]. I installed rechargeable batteries and used the Moultrie 12v solar panel. Installed in subfreezing temperatures, the rechargeable batteries by themselves, didn't last more than a few of days. But when I installed the solar panel with the rechargeable batteries, there was no loss in battery charge. The solar panel has a built-in storage battery. The camera uses the power from this battery. Moultrie doesn't recommend using rechargeable batteries. I have not needed to replace the "new standard" AA batteries [8] yet.
was charged 88% fully charged in 4 hours ran it down in 5 hours testing my new trail camera moultrie I-40, next day fully charged by noon.
