Locking in place mechanism is tricky and finicky
With the winter months upon us we leave and get home in the dark now, I got these so we didn't have to leave the outside lights on all day. They works great, good range for motion detector, puts out a decent amount of light for being solar powered. I'm ordering 3 more to put on each side of the house so the dog can see where he's "going" ... lol
A very compact and powerful security light with no electrical wiring necessary and easy installation.
Excellent light source requires no wiring. Easy to put up. Great buy for the money! So good I ordered another one.
Light is bright and works great, well worth the money
This light is fantastic. It gives off plenty of light and requires no setting of controls. It works well as a motion detector and did what I wanted perfectly. I like the idea that the rechargeable batteries can be replaced using a supplied key to easily remove it. A truly greatly designed product for areas that need a motion detector light.
PROS: Easy to install, brighter than most solar-powered lights. CONS: Not able to adjust sensor sensitivity or length of time the light stays lit before needing to be reactivated by movement.
Great outside solar light. However, if I had an actual overhang porch, I don't know how the sunlight would get to it unless I put the light on the edge of the porch roof. For my purposes, use out in the open, it's great! Would buy another in a heartbeat.
Takes 5 minutes to install with electric drill, light is strong enough for small gate, door entrance. The way it attaches to the surface is not the best, easy to pull or break if some one pulls on the unit. The manufacturer should have made it more stable to drill into surface thrugh unit. Lets hope the lights work for a long time for the $42 I paid.
The motion sensor would not pick up movement consistently. Sometimes it worked, most time it didn't. Had to return.
