I was able to pump water out of holes I had dug to plant trees and also ground water off my lawn it did the job quickly and efficiently . I highly recommend this product
Works well. Completed draining a pool in short time. Is now being used to remove rain which fills the bottom of the pool almost daily. Works much better than older pumps.
This pump worked great. Wasn't sure if it was designed to drain a whole pool, but it drained my 10500 gal pool in 10 hours using the 1- 1/4 inch hose recommended to accompany pump. The only issue was, the recommended hose to purchase with it did not have the right connection to the pump - only had a male to male connection, and had to go to the local nursery to buy couplings to connect the two parts. Very happy with pump performance
had a flotec pump for 14 years to pump out swimming pool, it finally quit. bought this one for 64 dollars and change.it actually out does the flotec. as of now a good pump.and yes i would buy another one if need be.
works well for descaling tankless heater
I use this to pump to drain the gravel bed sump built under my fiberglass pool. It works perfectly and gives me the peace of mind of knowing my pool will stay right where it is supposed to.
Sorry, but I am not into sump pump teminology, so I picked this particular one for 2 reasons: horsepower and cost. I was replacing an old unit that just stopped working, and I did not plan to take the time to tear it apart to find out what was wrong. I needed a unit fast, for a 5' deep by 18' long pond in my garden that I want to drain, preferably before the rainy season gets too far along. From the moment I plugged it in, this unit was sucking the water out at a fast rate, much more so than the older unit had done. I never left the unit on when I was not there, so it took over two days to get down to within 9" of the bottom, but it was on for approx. 6 1/2 hours a day. It is very quiet, and easy to move around, since it is not a heavy or huge unit at all. I am definitely glad i got it. If you need to get water out faster than 40 gallons a minute, then buy a bigger HP pump, but for my needs I think this one is going to work fine on the 2 backyard ponds that I inherited when I moved to our new home. For the price, this is a great pump.
The pump is well made and works well. It pumps water at a good rate but don't expect it to create high pressure.
Just started to use this new 1/3-HP Pump. Works great. Bought it's 1/4-HP baby brother 20 plus years ago and it's still works like the day I bought it. These are Great Rugged Reliable Maintenance Free Pumps. Worth every nickel. R. Rogers Sr.
Used this pump to drain a fair sized man-made pond in our yard with no problems. The only comment I would make is that it should come with some sort of waterproof & durable rope for retrieving the submerged unit as it specifically states not to use the cord or attached hose - both of which are the first thing you reach for when pulling the pump up.
