By searching the Walmart website, I was able to find this type of draft sealer. This was perfect for my apartment door on the inside of the building, for the upcoming winter. By using Duck Double Draft Seal along with several other little touches; I feel ready for a long cold winter.
I live in an apartment building where my neighbors across the hall enjoy chain smoking cigarettes and weed almost as much as they like slamming doors and raising cain in the wee hours of the morning. The gap under my front door allowed the filth and stink of said neighbors into my humble home. The Duck Brand Double Draft Seal has adequately solved this problem. The only negative I have is that the elastic bands that hold it in place slide off every now and then....totally worth it.
My apartment has steel entry door and a big gap between the hard floor and the bottom of the door and this product cannot fully block that gap underneath. i tried to insert additional paper towels to provide more bulk and blockage from the air outside but it's not enough. I probably will have to look for more foam to insert. Also, it is not wide enough for a standard door so I am not really sure if I am going to keep it on the door.
The package says it's for 36 inch doors yet the product is only 34 inches long leaving 2 inches of gap which draft comes through. Trying to stretch the product out does not work either. The elastic broke before the first use. Would Never buy again. Complete waste of money
The plastic connectors of the foam didn't like to stay together inside the pouch. I don't know how it was supposed to be secured to the door because we tried and we ended up ripping a piece of the elastic. It's fine if you want it to sit directly underneath the door and have to keep moving it into place. Otherwise don't waste your money.
I needed this, because I could see the outside sunlight shining under my backdoor. As soon as I got it, opened it up and placed it under my door, the strap that holds it up on the door broke and now it will not stay under the door. It keeps rolling, don't stay connected and bunching up. I haven't returned it yet, because it was a 2 pack and only one is dysfunctional.
My apartment front door is exactly 3ft wide. This product doesn't extend across the whole width of the door - it leaves about an inch of space on either side. This is despite the packaging claiming it fits doors up to 36 inches wide. I would say it fits a max width of 34 inches.
Box arrived taped up with packing tape and open with only 2 small pieces of foam tubes inside. NOTHING ELSE!! There's supposed to be 8 pieces of foam tubes and 2 sleeves and a few accessory pieces. I'm absolutely returning this to store. Unacceptable how products can be sold like this.
i was not pleased at all. this product is as cheap as a product can possibility be. the box is of a much higher quantity. the material is so slight that the stitching actually compromises the intergrity of the fabric which is stretched to it's limits out of the box, even before insertion of the foam is "attempted." i do not recommend this product.
foam rolls arent even strong enough to stay straight in the cover, they immediately bend nd twist and the strap to hold in place broke as soon as i applied minimal pressure
