Have purchased many pots and containers for my flowers in past. This is an attractive container that is eye catching and works wonders. The only fallback is we had to drill small drain holes in container. Other than that, it's worth every penny. My flowers look amazing. Ordering two more next year. Can't wait.
I searched high and low for a quality and beautiful window box- this is it! I had only one window that I could display a window box on the front of our home so it had to be perfect. The white, self watering system window box adds the finishing touch to our landscaping. The raised panels on the box make a stand out statement of design. We have had so many compliments on it!
I really like that I can raise the plant up out of the bed and still only take up a small footprint. It looks as good as a wooden container but has much better durability. I will still bring it indoors during the winter because the base is filled with water and will likely freeze.
This is the 4th I've bought and I love them. I travel on business a lot and my outdoor flowers look great! no watering needed. I still have those I bought 6 years ago- I leave them outdoors all winter. very sturdy and the color doesn't fade. Well worth the money!
I bought this one after already purchasing two others in the last two years. They have worn wonderfully well, as I shelter them and cover the openings during the winter season storage in another space on the property. They just need to be wiped off and moved back into their places as centerpieces in gardens. I have put a couple of bricks in one of them, as it was placed in a particularly windy area. I have only used a potting mix in each, as any other type of soil made it too heavy to move out of the beds for me.
I purchased this product because I needed a container for my herbs and I didn't want to water them everyday. This has worked out perfectly. It holds a lot of water so they have never been dry even in 90 plus degree heat. It's easy to water with the hole in the back corner with a pop on and off lid. It is very sturdy and well built. I would say this is a top of the line window box for sure. I would purchase this product again and probably will for other plants soon.
Overall great product, heavy-duty construction, sturdy mounting hardware and much better curb appeal than anything else on our block. Just dig a hole, buy a 4x4 and slip on this great mailbox post to instantly add some class to your front yard. It was also a snap to mount the mailbox of my choice without any mounting kit required, just 4 screws in the side right into the post arm. 100% satisfied and worth every penny for years to come of enhanced curb appeal. :)
I have seen other planters like this one but they were made of different materials and looked more expensive then they are. I was disappointed that the planters were made of molded plastic. I thought they would have looked nicer. The inside section is nice that it is removable and can be turned around to drop in a premed pot instead of planing in the container. Once plants were in the planter it looks nice and unless you go up and look at it can not tell it is molded plastic.
Already have two of taller older design. This one was too short, so returned it. SHIPPING & HANDLING FOR MY RETURN WAS DOUBLE WHAT I WAS CHARGED TO GET IT! THERE WAS NO INTERIOR INVOICE OR PACKING SLIP AND NO RETURN ADDRESS PROVIDED. These work very well, but be sure to empty excess water at end of season and store them so no more water gets in. Heavy & difficult to empty - tilt and lay on side so water drains out of top. Can't get insert out without taking out all the soil, and even then it's almost impossible to remove.
Two different colors were shipped - the post sleeve is white and the arm mount is black.
