Our roof had the largest snow build up that we had ever seen. I went to Walmart and purchased this snow rake and it exceeded my expectations. I moved about 30 inches of hard packed snow from my garage in a short time. This was money well spent.
Easy to work with. Its strong and light.A great product.
I used this rake to clear about 6-8 inches of heavy snow from a 4000 square foot roof today with pitches varying from 4/12 to 8/12. I'm very impressed with it and very pleased with the purchase. It did take me probably 3-4 hours to clear the snow, but it's very well suited for my standing seam metal roof which has 2 foot wide panels. It fit right in between the seams perfectly. I wish I had this rake about 10 years ago ... it would have saved me a lot of frustration with ice dams over the years.
This is a great tool for removing snow from a roof . It has a long reach and the plastic scoop does a great job getting the snow . It's flexible so it doesn't bend like aluminum when it catches on ice .
For the first time in 30 years I needed a roof rake. This rake did the job. My house is a 1-1/2 story and the handle was long enought to get the snow at the bottom of the roof off. The sun then melted the ice dams on a mild day and their gone. Problem solved. This is a well made product.
Works as well on leaves as snow. Very pleased.
I found this roof rake to work fine if I lifted it slowly. With all extensions connected at 20 feet the handle starts to bow and I fear any quick movement in an up direction would cause it to bend, kink or break. Even though the description says the blade is non-stick, I sprayed it with furniture polish (didn't have any car wax handy#. I figured, it couldn't hurt and may have helped. I also used crazy glue on the screw threads to keep the wing nuts from getting loose #works the same as a thread lock). Assembly took a little longer then I thought it would. I needed to use a some force to get holes/bolts to line up.
A little ackward to handle but does the job at a good price.
It's a little flimsy at full length, but it works. If it were any heavier it would be hard to maneuver
Wow, this thing snapped in half 10 minutes after the first use. Terrible cheap plastic. Don't buy it unless you are planning to limit the use to a few inches of fluffy powder.
