5 year old son enjoys this DVD set, I enjoy the price!
I have been a fan of the show The Penguins of Madagascar for who knows how long but finally I was able to purchase the Christmas specials and could not be happier. If you are a fan of the show then this is a must for you!
St. Nick stocking stuffer at a great price . Kids enjoyed and no commercials.
As always Madagascar is a great Christmas movie and the Penguins are loads of laughs. Lots of fun for the Holidays!
The loveable cast of Madagascar returns for this Christmas special. Besides being very entertaining, it also includes a lesson in giving and the spirit of the holiday. I highly recommend this DVD.
My son likes the Penguins of Madagascar... and all he can find is a plus. This was a double feature DVD, (2 dvds). While most all Penduins DVD's are funny and enjoyable, one of these particular dvds didn't actually have a movie. It had one short vid, about 15 minutes, and the rest of the dvd was "activities, special features, games" and a couple other things on this one dvd. Not bad, but even my son pointed out that there was no movie on this one. Something we didn't expect. It's likely we didn't do enough research first. So, buyer beware. Still, overall it was a good buy.

My son does like the movie which is why I gave it two stars, I figure that should count for something. It does leave him wanting more though, he will ask me why it's over already. I however am very disappointed. When the description said it had a run time of 34 minutes, I did not realize that that was combined! The merry madagascar movie alone was $5, I went with this set thinking the penguins extra was at least a full episode... it was not worth the $3 more i paid. Don't waste your money, I feel like I threw mine right into the trash with this purchase.
Yes, the Merry Madagascar feature IS only 20 or 30 minutes long. It's also poorly written, just rehashes some of the ORIGINAL jokes from the real movie, along with some of the (Tim Allen) "Santa Clause" plot. It comes off as some contractual obligation by the original cast, to do some holiday-themed piece that nobody really wanted to do. Too short to enjoy, too rushed in concept and execution to be worthwhile. The Party with the Penguins short is the extra feature that came with the original movie. Excellent short, but WE HAVE THAT ALREADY! My kids blinked, said "Is that ALL?" and chucked the DVD. I think you should, too.
These movies are only 12 and 20 minutes long!!Please be aware of this.
