I stop playing the bass guitar for awhile more like I stop when I met my ex-wife and now that I'm single I have been very open minded about what really makes me happy.Then I saw this brought me back memories when I was in a garage band.So when I got home after picking this up at my local Wal-Mart I was so excited because I had not played for such a long time so as soon as I plugged this bass I was amazed how such great the sound is and how it was so easy to tune since it came with an auto tuner.I have to say even if your a beginner or a rusty player like myself this plug and play bass is an amazing instrument for anyone of any age.
This seems to be a nice base guitar for beginners. I purchased it for my son and so far the only complaint has been the guitar strap, the holes stretch out and will not stay on the guitar. Other than that he seems to be pleased.
Instrument package was received in a timely manner. All items were in the package and all in great shape. The guitar plays excellantly, the tuner works well and the amplifier puts out good sound without the tinny or cheap sound often found in itma of lesser value. The finish on the instrument is A-1 and, overall the guitar presents itself as if it cost much more than what it did. My opinion would be that this instrument oackage will give great service for many years to come.
This was a great 11 year old birthday present. My son was able to put it all together by himself and started playing in the children's church band the very next day with the instructions from the band director. Everything was just what he wanted and needed.

This instrument is beautiful! I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would look so lovely and have such great sound quality. The lessons are easy and just right for an inexperienced person like myself. I am looking forward to many hours of playing my newly acquired bass guitar.
It is a good quality product. I think the amp is horrible, b/c I want to rock. But it works just fine. I am most likely going to get better strings for it. I think for the price I paid, it was well worth it for a beginner. The instruction book is nice too. The only bad thing I found is that I thought it came with a dvd, but its only a cd that has some chords on it. There are so many websites now-a-days that teach you how to play, so learning should not be a problem.
I'm a semi-professional woodwind player but I've always wanted to play bass. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on purchasing one, and since it's a string instrument I knew this starter pack for dummies was a good choice! I don't plan to play it on stage, just at home on my own. The amp is even smaller than it looks online, but it's decent. Everything is decent - you won't be disappointed. Perhaps because I'm not a string player and I'm not taking lessons, I was confused on how the guitar/bass tuner worked. So I just tuned the strings using my own KORG digital needle tuner.
this was a gift for my husband. He loved it. It's perfect for someone who is beginning to play guitar. The amp is smaller than what I thought but it's good.
This was said to come with a strap which it didn't. The book just shows chords instead of it actually being for dummies. Books for dummies should teach how to read music as a first step so that someone can actually play the instrument correctly. Fingerings are one thing, but knowing how to switch keys and chords in the middle of a song would be more useful for dummies. It is not for a beginner!
