When my niece opened the Singing Machine karaoke she was so happy. The lights go with the music and the sing along voice quiets down so we can hear her sing. What a wonderful gift. Thanks you!!!
We bought this for my daughter's birthday party, and this karaoke machine is so much fun! It's great that you can either play it and get the words on the machine's screen or hook it up to the TV if you want. You can also play music off of a regular CD or a USB flash drive, so there are multiple ways to get music. If you want the lyrics, there is a Singing Machine online store where you can purchase and download music with lyrics. You also have an option on many of the songs to choose whether or not to have the lead vocals, which isn't always the case on karaoke CDs. A second microphone can also be added so two can sing at once.

Worth every penny watching (and HEARING) my granddaughter sing her heart out as she followed along reading the exceptionaly easy to read monitor. I gave it a 5 star rating, I'm definately sold on this product.
I ordered this product for my three young children. It works great and they love it! By far, their favorite part is the colorful strobe light on the front! It blinks to the beat of the music and has a dimmer switch to turn the intensity up or completely off. The CD-Gs load from the top so they are easy for little fingers to work. The microphone holders on the side keep things organized. The monitor is color, not black and white, and can be turned off if you only want to listen to music. The speaker is contained in the light and the volume can be turned up quite loud. Knobs on the front allow you adjust the volume, echo or balance for the microphones. This is nice because it slightly turns down the music while you sing so you can hear yourself better. The typical CD functions are all available; play, stop, forward, reverse, repeat, ect. There is a line in jack available that can be used to connect an mp3 player or ipod to play or sing along to music that way. There is also a usb port to play music or even record yourself singing! The machine comes with FREE software to make your own karaoke CD-Gs if you desire; the first five songs are free and every song after that is $1.47 each. You can burn the song to as many CD-Gs as you wish after you pay the one time fee for a song. We have used this software and it works great and there are many choices of music available in all genres and decades! Have fun!
We spent a lot of time researching the karaoke systems for our daughter. We are extremely happy with our purchase!!
Purchased for my daughter and she loves it
I bought the karaoke machine for my daughter for Christmas. Luckily, I didn't wait until then to find out if it was going to work correctly. I plugged an iPod into it and it kept saying that there was not USB plugged into it. It would try to connect but only for a split second (you could hear the iPod try to make connection) There could be just a loose connection on the item that I received but there's no way to know that. I will be returning the item and finding one that works.
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. It has only worked once since we bought it. I plan on returning as soon as possible!!! The Mic doesn't work, it doesn't play the CD, overall the worst thing I have ever bought. She is heartbroken
We took this out of the box Dec 24th, 2013 SHE WAS SOOO SOOO EXCITED TO START SINGING:) **IT WOULD NOT TURN ON AT ALL-- :((( A BROKEN HEARTED CHILD YES, WE TRIED THE TROUBLESHOOTING, TO NO AVAIL. This Singing Machine Company doesn't even list a phone # for customer service on there documents, enclosed in the box:((((( Has anyone else had this problem?? It's a new product, (Dec. 1st, 2013) Should have made sure it worked, knowing it would be Christmas presents:P . Present for our little girls Christmas.
